How Chimpanzees Make and Use Tools at Taronga Zoo Sydney

Chimpanzees are incredibly intelligent - in fact, sharing 99% of our DNA they're our closest living relatives!
At Taronga Zoo, Keeper Katie and her team are dedicated to ensuring our Chimpanzee troop stay active, engaged and stimulated through regular enrichment.
One of the ways they manage to do this is by using an artificial termite mound to allow the chimps to make and use tools just as they would in the wild.
