NOTE: The book is a separate art/story book that can be used in conjunction with the Deck. This is a look at the book itself and then at the deck, this is NOT a short flip through, but a meander through the book, art and stories. Feel free to speed it up, skip through, or find a flip through that is quicker. Looking at the cards starts at around 33:20

This is the first deck that ever brought tears to my eyes. Knowing the stories brings such a depth of meaning to the cards, so the book, in my opinion, is a must if I get the deck. I think the artist did a masterful job at choosing the right tale for each card. This deck and the book deserved to have a lengthy video. Well done!

Scheherazade is the story teller from 1001 nights (where the story of Aladdin comes from). She tricked the king into not killing her by telling a story every night (for 1001 nights)

Really didn't think I'd want this deck. Decks described as fairy tale decks don't usually appeal to me. But.....the artwork sold me on this one. My first deck based on fairy tales! Thank you for the fun walk through!

As a brazilian, I got really surprised to see a Brazilian myth in this deck, and the story of the Boi Tata relates so well to de devil card, this snake like creature made out of fire, that lives in caves, I really didn't expect that in a foreign deck, really love it

Tarot of the white cats, the Centennial Smith Waite, the Thoth and tarot of the divine are it for me. There are plenty of wonderful decks out there, but those 4 are the ones that spoke to my soul. Oh, Kelly! I LOVE YOU! In just under 25 minutes you had me pausing and rushing to buy both, Tarot of the Divine, and Beneath the Moon Book. Quite a few stories are familiar to me, and so many are new, which I am very excited to read and learn from! I was so pleased to see not only the titles of the stories are mentioned but their cultural origins, too! My most loved that are featured and familiar to me are: Scheherazade, Beauty and the Beast, Isis and Osiris, Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara (I'm so very connected to them, especially as a celestial boddhisattva Kuan Yin), The Nightingale, The Little Match Girl, Turandot, Waramurungundju (who I only learnt of in the land I now call home), and this list seems to grow as I listen to you, Kelly, mentioning more stories featured in these cards! And it is very exciting! How cool that Mahabharata's Pandavas (5 brothers) are featured too! And then there are Sister Alyonushka and Brother Ivanushka, and Vasilisa the Beautiful (what is known to me as Vasilisa Prekrasnaya featuring Baba Yaga), which are the stories I grew up with and have been recently re-reading. This video of yours, Kelly, has been so delightful and insightful to watch! Thank you so much!

Reminder: The Queen of Swords, Turandot, has a lovely but problematic Extremely Famous Opera and Yoshi, the creator, does not use pronouns so "her" is probably the wrong way to talk about Yoshi ps: Llorona "the (female) wailing one" is indeed pronounced as Yorona
