Hands down Tarot of the Crone! I immediately chose a deck as soon as I saw your insta post….. but then a second one came to mind, so now I’m vacillating between the two! 🤦🏻‍♀️ in any case really looking forward to this project!

I was so excited to see a quick hit 19 minute Kelly Bear video I hopped right over :) I think I'll do this and write a line of a poem for each day's spread, ending up with a whole poem at the end. Then I'll do one VR response about my whole experience. Not sure what deck to use yet: Pixie's Whisper Christmas Ed., Zeke's Arcana for a sci-fi vibe, Shadowland or Tarot Obscuro for a little shadow work? If I were you I'd choose the deck with the guidebook and compare your interpretations with hers. The Crone one feels a bit more intuitive and not as much specific to say about that. Oh Nancy, the poem idea is wonderful! I had a similar idea but instead of a line of a poem, it would be a line of a story. Can't wait to see how it all turns out for you. Thank you for the advice on deck selection, did you pick yours yet? You have some excellent options.

This is such a fun idea, thank you for sharing it with us all! I'm definitely taking part! Though I'm going to have to modify this a bit. I'm leaving for my mum's on the 21st and I know I won't have any time for cards after that, so I'm going to do 4 cards a day for the most part. I'll be putting them in envelopes, that was a fun idea too! AND I'll be popping a oracle card in each too, because why not! I'm so excited about this! The tarot deck I'm going to use is the Dragon Tarot by Nigel Suckling. It's the latest deck I've bought, and it's a pip deck which I'm not confident with at all, so this will be a great way to get more comfortable with unillustrated pips. The oracle I'm planning on using is the Enchanted Unicorn Oracle. That one I've had for ages, I adore it and use it relatively regularly, so I'm just adding it in there for the funsies. 😄

Oh I LOVE this! That dragon tarot has been on my wishlist for years, it looks great. The unicorn deck sounds like such an excellent pairing! I hope you have fun with this project, thank you for hopping aboard. x

Maybe do a showdown reading or two and ask the decks which one to choose and see how you feel? I've got 4-5 I'm doing that with now to help me choose.

i'm so pumped for this! gonna try my best to stick to it LOL i've never been the best with daily things like this. i'm just getting a second wind with tarot though so maybe it will be a breeze this time around! personally, i could see something like tarot of the crone eventually feeling like a chore and leading me to procrastinate. though i'd say there isn't anything wrong with starting with one deck and switching to another if the first feels like a challenge rather than a treat. thinking i'll do the totally unofficial adventure time tarot because i know for a fact that deck will feel like a treat and bring a lot of joy. although i use it a lot already LOL so my second choice would be ink witch. i really love it but it arrived as i started to feel burned out so i havent used it much at all. if only the victorian faery tarot had been finished already, i wouldve used that no hesitation!

Haha, I know that feeling. I am TERRIBLE at sticking to anything to be honest, so I am kind of worried I will lose steam on this. That's why I am sharing it so publically, so you can all prod me into doing the thing, lol. Good point re: Tarot of the Crone! And yeah, I guess if the chosen deck feels like pulling teeth part way through, a different deck can be used instead. Love the idea of the Adventure Time tarot, it looks like such a fun deck! If you do join in, even if it's for one day, I hope you have fun with it. :)

I’m so stoked about this. lol but I’m just torn between like 80 million choices now. For you tho, I feel like you will find Vampyres frustrating and will take the fun out of the tag for you to keep going. That’s just imo. I think you should go crone or bohemian gothic. I’m so looking forward to doing this ! Thanks for posting ❤

I think Tarot of the Crone, that’s what I would go with as I also have the deck and it confuses me too lol! I think if you went with Tarot of the Vampyres it would end up annoying you 🤣💖

Great idea. I’ll have to think about how I’d participate. Don’t know if I can commit to 25 days of daily reads? 😂 But I would like to practice reading combinations of 2 or 3 card pulls as a unit.

25 daily reads seems daunting for me too tbh. That's why I am just going to switch it up depending on how I feel each day. I don't think I'll even commit to a specific time of day either, just keeping it real loosey goosey! I'll be sharing some various ways to work/play with the cards on a you tube community feed post. x

Tarot of the Crone looks amazing ☺️ in my humble opinion, Phantasmagoria can get very repetitive and could have easily been 100 pages shorter 😅

@ I really enjoyed the descriptions of the art, the images on the cards are very rich with symbols and they are explained very well in the book. The card meanings is where he lost me a bit 😆

I did have the Tarot of Vampyres, briefly. The artwork annoyed the hell out of me, and honestly, so did the wriring style of the book, so it was just a complete fail for me, unfortunately. I'd go Bohemian Gothic or Tarot of the Crone, personally. I do have the BG deck, but I also really want the big book (can't afford it, unfortunately - I wish they'd offer them as ebooks as well!).

Oh dear, I wonder if my experience with the Tarot of Vampyres will go much the same way. We shall see. I hope you manage to get a copy of the big BG book one day, I haven't started it yet but I've heard good things.

Phantasmagoria was quite good in its time, that time has passed. I still love the deck. I’d go with Tarot of the Crone if you want a real challenge. ❤

Lone Ranger over here. I don't think you need the bogo book, but it's cool. Bohemian Gothic Tarot would be the funnest. It would tickle for the entire season... it is such a weird and yummy deck. I have done 78-day challenges with both Crone and Ian Daniel's Vampyre Tarot. Crone sticks. She is actually going to change your mind about a couple of things in a calm, gentle, witchy way. Enough said. Ian Daniel's going to piss you off for a week, and you won't keep going. (I can see the future 😆)
