This was so accurate. He pushed me away cause he was afraid I'd do the same thing to him that someone else did to him in the past. I feel so sorry for him, but at the same time I'm glad things ended before it got deeper. This is 100% accurate to my situation; it feels like you’re speaking to me directly. 😔 However, I think my “person” truly ruined love for me. This heartbreak is the worse thing I’ve ever felt and I’ll be damned if I risk putting myself in this situation again. I think I’m good on love. I’d rather be alone than to get hurt again. I was fine before they ever came into my life, and all they did was shatter me and waste my time. Also, everything you mentioned about the heartbreak triggering past childhood wounds is so accurate. I’ve been working through these wounds in therapy for a few years, and this heartbreak kinda brought a lot of suppressed traumas to the surface, which is making this all so much harder to heal from. 😔

Im so protective of myself because of this awful person in the reading. I have flashbacks often and I begin to panic and cry. Today, I remembered him yelling, stomping, slamming doors and things, pointing his finger at me and telling me I’d better not go get help from his roommate to make him stop. It feels so real. Tonight is so bad with that flashback 😢. It made me feel like I was not a woman, not anything, just a piece of garbage who nobody cares about. I feel unwanted and unloved. I’m dealing with other things too where he literally lied to me and abandoned me and taunted me. I would never want to be like him.

I'm so sorry, I feel you deeply ❤️‍🩹, I went through the same. When I was thinking about asking for help or just distancing myself from the abuse and go for a walk, he took my phone or keys or started speeding on the highway to make me feel afraid. He abandoned me (probably for another supply) 2 mths ago and I constantly tried to be with him for 3+ years. Not sure how to love myself or be open to love, as I was abused and neglected by my family too, all my life. I turned my back on them and would like to go on with NC. So yes, I need to learn what true love is, after I had nothing but abuse and what I thought was love, was actually manipulation.
