Apologies for the late reply, finally getting around to two weeks worth of messages, yikes! You really hit it out of the park for a first tag, so much fun. I could literally talk about films for hours. Yay on the Alien fave front, it's such a classic at this point. Thank you for taking the time to watch. x

I'm cackling at how many overlaps you and I have in our choices, both in film and in decks! Not an overwhelming amount but enough to be funny, for sure, lol. Looooved listening to you prattle on about all these films-definitely going to have to check some of them out! I'll be rewatching this one when I need movie recs to one-up my cinephile husband. 😂

Clearly we both have excellent taste. ;) Have fun watching the films! Let me know if there are any in particular that you end up enjoying. x

I'm going to have to tackle this, even though I don't think of my decks in terms of films and it may be quite a stretch. I was shocked that until prompt 13, you hadn't mentioned any films prior to the 1970s. I thought, man, for a self-proclaimed film buff, is she in store for a half a century of amazing classics! Get busy watching!

Hi Robin. I've definitely seen my fair share of golden oldies. I grew up watching a lot of old films. Everything from classic Westerns to sword and sandal epics as well as musicals and whatever else was on scheduled tv. Some of my first film star faves were Bogart, Monroe, Grant, Stewart, Kelly (Gene) and Hayworth It's just that my very very faves are mostly from the 70s/80s, I guess due to nostalgia for the era that I was a kid.

It's just so silly and fun. They're a national institution here in the UK. :)

My Tarot of the Magical Forest (no forest) is also scuffed and has mystery stains and is completely infused with my vibes. I took it with me to Santa Fe, and it was the deck I had with me when my friend and I went to the Drury Hotel (the old St. Vincent's hospital) SUPER HAUNTED PLACE. Magical Forest held her own and gave great spooky reads for the ghosts. We didn't last very long, tho. yikes! 👻👻👻

"COLOR OUT OF SPACE" unsettling, horrific, very impactful for moi! After viewing i felt as if i had undergone electro shock therepy and my brain was slowly reassemble but wouldn't be right for a couple of days! H. P. LOVECRAFT! yes the Cthulhu Tarot! 😮

Ahh I’m so glad you did this one, I’m still thinking about what my answers would be! You had some excellent picks, decks and films both. I love Chocolat and was gutted to have it tainted but really might have to rewatch it soon because it’s so lovely. Always such a treat to have your videos to watch to start my week x

Thanks Imogen! Glad you enjoyed it, it's a really fun tag! At least Chocolate the book remains untainted, so that's something! x

Zeke's is perfect for sci-fi. I think of The Guardian Tarot with it's alien-looking tree people. Midsummar is so freaky--did you like A Quiet Place? The Others? For romance how about Julia (Fonda and Redgrave's relationship). I did a Tarot at the Movies tag a few years ago so it's fun to see somebody else's take on it. (I wear a mask and avoid crowds, too and may always do that. It's not over and there will be another one someday). Thanks, Kelly!

I haven't seen A Quiet Place but it is on my wishlist. The Others is another fave film of mine, a nice slow burn, perfectly spooky. I saw it at the cinema when it was first released, it was a great atmosphere. Thank you for the masking solidarity. x

The only way I can enjoy a mystery film (actually it's every film) is if I can read the plot first on wikipedia. I can't stand the stress of the suspense and I must know how it ends beforehand.

I can see how that could be the case for some folks. I love a mystery but I've got to the point where I'm pretty good at guessing the outcome a lot of the time. I enjoy it when I get surprised by one. :)
