Hellou! I have Li model and solid interior. Very good tent here in Finland. Expensive to order here but worth it. Thanks for video.

There is an all mesh interior available if more air movement inside is desired. I think it would probably fit the older model. There is also a Dyneema Strat 1 that they sell now that weighs 26oz. Tarptent are top notch !

Great review I will order one based on your review. I know you are thorough and I’m a fan of your videos. I have the Zpacks Duplex for late spring, summer and early fall This one the StratoSpire will be used for early spring, late fall and winter. I think I will have everything covered Thank you Sheila Vancouver BC 🇨🇦

Great review, and thanks! I was having a hard time trying to decide between this, and the notch. Like some of the things you mentioned, I ended up with the notch. Mainly for weight, small footprint, and ease of set up. I still want one of these though!

Hi, how does it compare to Pyramid tents like the MLD Duomid? Which one do you prefer nowadays? I am currently owning a Double Rainbow but am looking for something more usable in cold weather and lightweight.

I love mine, I bought it second hand, and the guy who had it before me did probably overdo the seam sealing a bit, so mine comes in at around 1.1kg with pegs and bag. (mesh inner)

Would you recommend the Stratospire or the Scarp in Swedish conditions? I can for the life of me not decide between the Scarp 1 or the Stratospire 1 or 2, since I'd like to bring my (currently half year old) daugther with me from time to time.

Stratospire is more than adequate for swedish mountains 3 season. If you are looking at doing some serious winter camping than look towards the Scarp.

@@Backpackinglightse Thanks a bunch! One last question, mesh och solid? Will never winter camp. Three season use only.
@Backpackinglightse2 жыл бұрын
@@TNorberg mesh works just fine on the stratospire. Just how it’s built where it doesn’t let in whole lot of wind when you buckle it down. I usually think its nicer psychologically with a solid inner as you don’t have to stare at all the bugs.. but that’s about it

Tarptent makes great designs. I've owned 5 of them. Currently a SCARP 2, a Moment DW solo tent and coming in the mail next week a Notch Li. So yeah, I'm a Tarptent fanboy. Never any real problems with any of my Tarptents and a lot of enjoyment in ANY weather from them.

Eric, what are your thoughts on the Stratosphere 1 over the Notch Li? Do you prefer one over the over as I'm in between both at the moment and cant decide!

Hi, I'm 197 cm (about 6'6). Would the tent be too short for me? I see you have several longer tents on Backpackinglight, but I like solid innertent (living quite far north in Norway).
@Backpackinglightse5 жыл бұрын
Hi, I think the stratospire might be on the short side for you. it would work, but head and feet will be pushing against the inner tent. A tent would work well would be the Lightheart gear Solong 6

Can someone tell me if it’s really bad if I buy a Dyneema Blemish version of the Tent ? It has 3 Tapelines more if I correctly understand. They say it’s as durable as the normal version, Talking about Stratos li
@Backpackinglightse3 жыл бұрын
You will be fine! Ripped Dyneema is near new once Dyneema tape is used. Technically it's as strong if not stronger than non taped Dyneema. It's why a lot of tents are built solely using bonding tape. Quite unique to Dyneema

@@Backpackinglightse Ken thank you for your Reply . I really appreciate it since your channel is my number 1 Source for Information about Tents. One last question, do you also recommend the Stratos LI for Scandinavia 3 seasons ? I did buy it cause you said in several comments that the Stratos is your „to Go“ Tent for mountains 3 season. But i think you did only refer to the Nylon Version of the Tent ? I ordered the Blemish Li last night with Mesh inner , not Solid inner. I hope that was a good choice for Iceland Laugavegur Trail August 2021

Good looking set up I have the duplex but I like that better and if my dog went with me my dog would sleep inside with me dogs get bit by bugs as much as we do like your set up though

Hi. What would you recommend - Notch or Stratospire for backpacker 180cm tall?
@Backpackinglightse5 жыл бұрын
Vitaliy Andreev well at 180 you can take the notch and be perfectly happy! Lighter, easier setup and so on.

@@Backpackinglightse Thanks! I was worried about whether I would touch the walls of the inner tent with my sleeping bag if I lay on the air mat. The more spacious Stratospire seems for me the solution to this problem.

@@pR13S7 Did you buy the stratospire in the end? i'm 6 f and i touch the end walls, so often the sleeping bag get wet. Did you have this problem too? thanks
