Awesome instruction series on the Tarsacci! I have one and am learning a lot from your very informative, in-depth and well illustrated videos.

I have used Logan detector machines such as Nox800, SDC2300, GPX4500, but I am attracted to the machine you are describing.

I really like the Tarsacci and in a lot of ways regret getting rid of it, but I had too many detectors and too little time. It is definitely a new technology. The only problem I had was hearing the high tones due to severe hearing loss in one ear. The three training videos really do cover the gist of the detector. If you follow them and get used to the tones, you will do well no matter what you are searching for. Thanks so much for watching.

You are welcome. I'm trying to make sure each of the training videos has something that is useful to everyone who metal detects. The Trarsacci is definitely growing on me. It's the only machine I've got, other than the GPX 5000, that will hit all 40 items in my test garden. Thanks for watching.

Thanks. I'll do my best. Right now I'm into a house repair/remodel that I put off too long. Hopefully I'll be able to finish the rest of the series before too long. Thanks so much for watching.

This has been a great series ... looking forward to Part 4. I'm a *COIN* hunter and own the Deus II as well as the Tarsacci and the Equinox 600. You've giving me a reason to take another look at the possibilities of the Tarsacci and try to compare it to the Deus II and Equinox 600, for park hunting ... I have a lot to learn. Thank you so much ... Well done =)

Thanks George. I had originally planned on 12 videos in this training series on the Tarsacci but it looks like therse 3 are it for now. The Tarsacci is a fantastic metal detector that scares some folks away because it is different. Due to some health issues I am having and the fact that I have too many metal detectors I have decided to scale down on my detectors so I ended up selling the Tarsacci. But I have bought an Equinox 900 and a Manticore since making that decision. I'm thinking when it is all said and done that I will that I will end up with the Manticore, XP Deus II and the GPX 5000 as my main detectors. I will probably keep my Whites V3i as it was bought new and I haven't even used it yet. I owned one before and loved it. I may end up buying another Tarsacci if my hands start improving. If I do, I will continue the training series. I'm glad you liked the training series. I hope to do similar series on all my detectors as time permits. Thanks so much for watching and good luck with all your detecting.

@@SavingLocalHistory... Aw yes ... the Whites V3I, a detector I purchased way to early in my metal detecting journey. Sold it but wish I'd kept it long enough to really figure it out. I'm sorry to hear you sold your Tarsacci. I think you're a natural teacher and I was looking forward to really learning all the Tarsacci had to offer. Thought maybe Calabash might come across one but no such luck. Like you, he's pretty good at explaining his favorite machines. Fingers crossed that you might inherit another Tarsacci and continue to help us neophytes tap into its full potential. Thanks again, I'll remain a subscriber ... you're doing a great job. PS .. I'll always remain a student of this hobby. At the ripe old age of 75, I still look forward to the next hunt and what it might offer up ... now if I can just get my golf swing on track, I'll die a happy man ... lol =)

@@georgemohr Thanks for the very kind words. I only wish I had the ability to explain what I know about metal detecting. I'm getting better at it, but being a "teacher" is hard for some of us. I've just got to the point where trying to remember all the in's and out's of each detector was getting hard to keep up with. There's a lot of good information on KZbin, but there's a lot that is not so good as well. It seems to have become a dog-eat-dog world these days with everyone trying to out-do each other. I don't like to play that game. I just want to pass on some of what I know to others who may not have the time or temperment to figure them out. ALL metal detectors have pros and cons and are only a small part of the process of finding "treasures". I've owned many of the top-of-the-line metal detectors and I have done well with almost all of them. Of course, some I just like to use more than others. From 2000-2013, I did a lot of comparisons and tests on many detectors. Sadly, I didn't have a KZbin account and didn't know anything about making a video. I hope to repeat a lot of those tests on my more "modern" detectors. I'm glad you're still detecting at 75. I'm 67 now and if it wasn't for my knees and hands, I believe I could detect all day as I did many years ago. Running a chainsaw for the past two weeks almost continuously have really set me back as far as dealing with my arthritis. That's what happens when you have 10 huge trees cut around your house; you have to clean up the mess. I have given probably 40 truck loads of wood away; most of which I cut up myself. I've also hauled 18 loads of brush away by myself. Unloading the truck has been a challange. I said all that to say this: I'm working hard towards getting back to detecting and trying to make a lot of videos. Maybe I will get another Tarsacci one of these days. I really planned to finish the videos, but when I got an offer for it, I went ahead and sold it. Good luck to you.

@@SavingLocalHistory ... Again, thanks so much, Larry. I think I'm going to set up in Mixed Mode on my next coin hunt. If I can get a better understanding of the detector set up on a new site (ground balance, different modes, etc), I think I'll feel a bit more confident moving forward. If you're interested, I'll report back. PS ... Should you offer private instruction, count me in =) Regards, George

@@georgemohr Keep me posted. Mixed mode quickly alerts you to a target. The Disc part of the signal helps you decide to dig. Let me know if you have any questions. I'll help you if I can.

I plan to have possibly 12 parts total. It may be a little while before I can get them completed. I live in a 100+ year old house and due to time and neglect, I'm having to basically restore it from the ground up. I may have to sell many of my "toys" to help pay the $30,000 plus cost. I will do my best to comple6the Tarsacci video before I may have to sell it as well. Thanks for watching.

Sir, we in Indonesia are only looking for gold relics, how do you explain the ID on the Tarsacci machine
@SavingLocalHistory4 ай бұрын
The ID could be all over the place with most targets as per my video on ID's. It all depends on the size and composition of the gold target as well as the depth and whether or not any other objects are in close proximity to the desired target. I would suggest that you dig almost all targets for a while to get used to what readings to expect. It's best to go on the tones rather than the ID. I wish I could be more help but since I sold my Tarsacci, I can't test anything. Maybe I'll get another one some day. Good luck to you and thanks for watching.

It's been out a few years, but hasn't caught on yet. It was designed to deal with mineralized ground like a pulse detector. It's actually a hybrid with qualities from both the VLF and Pulse detectors. It really is one of the easiest dectors to set up I have used. Hopefully, I'll be able to continue this training series soon. Right now, I'm dealing with some issues with my hands. Holding a detector and digging is very hard right now. Thanks so much for watching and inquiring about this great detector.

Hey buddy this is unrelated to this video but, when you got your gpx 5000 did you go back to places where you just couldn’t find anything with a vlf detector . I’m just curious I want to buy one but I just don’t know. I have a couple of places we have been hunting for years. Just can’t find much any more. Walk for 20 min and not get a signal. Just wanted your thoughts on it. Thanks in advance.

Well, I found a few good Civil War sites to detect early on; most had been hunted for years. I started out with a Garrett GTI 2500 metal detector and did very well. I kept upgrading and trying new detectors and owend nealy 30; all top-of-the-line. Everyone of them help me to learn detecting and I found relics I had missed with all of them. Then, there was one site I had hunted off and on for 20 years. It had been hunted hard for 30 years prior to that. I had found around 40 bullets over those 20 years and a few buttons and period coins. I didn't hunt this site very hard, but I hunted it enough to know that it was for the most part hunted out. I knew a lot of it was red clay dirt and even some of the darker dirt was highly mineralized so I decided to buy a GPX 5000 to see if that helped. I sold my Minelabe CTX 3030 and my Garrett ATX to take a chance. Well, to make a long story short, I found over 225 amost all dropped bullets on this "hunted out" site. So watch my GPX 5000 videos to see what I'm talking about. kzbin.info/aero/PL7XeWtrfRCgWiabMmaOIQwhpiHkc0ya5D Thanks for watching I hope my answer helped.

@@SavingLocalHistory Ok thanks, ya I have a couple of spots that are similar to the one your talking about. We have been hunting there since 2017. But it’s been hunted by everybody I’ve talked to around here over the years. I thought the pulse machine might pull some stuff out. Thanks for the info. I let you know how it goes.
