It is clearly the top of a building that has been repurposed as a lighthouse due to the changing coastline. the cliff itself is probably a petrified or plasmarized building. The cave entrance most likely used to be a balcony

I noticed this week that the story on James Squire beer bottles says that he first grew hops in 1795 !!🤣, I have a beer brewing book ( that I’m re-reading) that says he first planted hops in 1804, which the book states that he was awarded a cow from the governor’s herd. Both dates are totally absurd, first unless the hops were already here there is no chance of the first or second fleets bringing them, rum was the money of the time. And secondly the governor’s were all horrible degenerates and would most certainly not reward a filthy former convict.🤣 Check out the Cascade beers first building in Hobart 😳a seven storey brick building of magnanimous proportions, built by half starved “convicts”

Hey...i remember a story i was told almost 3 decades ago about someone hearing voices of children crying out for help at north head manly. The locals used to think the area was haunted because they could often hear voices and cries coming from the ground. I’m happy to declare that I’m pretty sceptical but I do agree that the construction and design of many early Australian buildings is quite odd. I’ve also noticed the diversity of design in Greeway’s buildings. Some have vertical slots, as if built for archers to shoot through, others, like the Conservatorium have a crenellated parapet roof , as if made for canon or riflemen to shoot from. Plus some ‘convict built’ stone buildings look like crap, as if I had built them, others are pristine, with every stone perfectly and accurately cut and laid. Many of those huge buildings have not subsided a millimeter in over 200 years. The footings must have been bloody well engineered by a bunch of amateurs! Anyhoo, looking forward to your next video.

Does appear the powers that be scrambled to ensure there wasn't enough to discern just what that tunnel was or could have been used for, such a shame. Also from the aerial shots of where you could see the outline of other buildings, it does appear as if some of the cliff has fallen away and perhaps it went out much further originally, which would make the tunnel entrance perhaps level with the cliff wall at some point?

COOL I lived in the area, from mid 80,s untill mid 2000,s , lots of very old structures between dover heights and vaucluse. Also how about the stone circle on the cliff near marks park south bondi? l also spent a few years living across from marks park. we used to have drum circles in that stone circle back then. so much to discover in the eastern suburbs of sydney. I,m looking forward to your next episode. xx. P.S that area where the maquarie light house is also only a few hundred meters from the GAP, which is famous for suicides. ?? The Gap, Watsons Bay, Sydney / © Adam.J.W.C. (License) The Gap is Australia’s answer to Beachy Head. The high cliffs here get their name from the fact they lie just to the south of the entrance to Sydney Harbour. Around 100ft (30m) below are the often turbulent waters of the Pacific Ocean. Tragedy is no stranger to the Gap and its dark history goes back to 1857 when the sailing ship Dunbar wrongly navigated the harbour entrance, crashing into the cliffs at the gap on a stormy winter’s night. Of the 122 on board only one survived. But that was an accident and we’re not here to talk about accidents. The Gap is infamous throughout, not just Sydney, but all of Australia as the country’s most popular suicide spot. Each year an estimated 50 people come here to kill themselves, and they travel from far and wide to do so. Probably the best known suicide to have occurred here was that of well-known Australian TV news anchor Charmaine Dragun. At the age of 29 she threw herself from the cliffs here only an hour before she was due to present the 5 o’clock news having suffered from depression for many years. Whilst efforts have been made to reduce the number of deaths at the Gap with higher fencing, security cameras and direct counselling phone booths, it is the efforts of one man that seem to have had the biggest impact. A World War II veteran, Don Ritchie, became known as the “Angel of The Gap” after preventing numerous suicides at the Gap. From his house he could see the gap and if he spotted anybody who looked like they were thinking of jumping he would cross the road and greet them with the phrase “Can I help you in some way?”. Don began in the 1960s and up until his death in 2012 he prevented 164 people from killing themselves.

Great segment. The tunnel was constructed about 1937/8 when they removed the old 1890s gun at singnal Hill and put in 2 x 6inch guns on the same re built sight. The fort was called Signal Hill Battery and the fighting light was put on the cliff face about 200m south near the Macquarie Light. The tunnel was one of the two fighting lights for the Fort. The tunnel consisted of powerful search light, ,an engine eoom to power the light,..and at the back of tunnel there were diesel stores and waiting room for staff..You accessed the tunnel by a vertical corrugated iron tube shaft where inside was a long metal ladder going down to the back of tunnel.

Thanks for your great vids C&J. Just a few thoughts. Maybe the primary function of the structure is something other than a lighthouse? The co ordinates of the structure are 33 degrees 51 min south (3+3 = 6 & 5+1 = 6) and 151 degrees 17 min east (7+8= 15, 1+5 =6) so there is a connection with sacred numbers here. I wouldn't be surprise if this site is on a lay line or earth energy center. The building clearly represents a phallus and there are many sacred symbols build into the outside of the renovated structure. It looks more like a temple or shrine where rituals would be conducted. The portico with the two roman columns and the light symbolism all points to this as well. As for the underground reactor, I have read that some negative elements hijack these earth energy centers using technology for their own agendas??? I also note the plaque has the usual bread crumbs, being 30 Nov, i.e. 30 x 11 = 33 (drop the zero) and 1818 which is 99 or 66 upside down and 150 years (1+5 = 6). My guess is the underground tunnels would be much older that the structure and possibly excavated by the Tartars to hide from the invaders as they did all over the world.

@thesolaraquarium 2 жыл бұрын
@@AndrewMay100 I agree. I grew up nearby - it was my local park. There is a WW2? bunker complex about 3 minutes walk North towards the harbour entrance. The tunnel is most likely connected to that. When I was a kid there were two stories - pathways down the cliffs used by fishermen along the cliffs to Bondi Beach (a friend of mind claimed to know one) and that this bunker complex was blocked by the authorities to prevent people going inside and getting hurt. The doors have chains on them and from what I saw looking in from outside they appear to be flooded. There were rumours that people had been inside (maybe before they closed them off?). RE the lighhouse. Of course they built the new one on the same spot. It's a navigation position that is why they did it. Not strange at all. I have always considered this area, the cliffs overlooking the Pacific, as one of the most beautiful sights in the world. As a child I was told that the bunker was flooded by a giant wave! Kids love to scare each other and for years I was scared about the next giant wave. As I got older I realised it was rubbish.

The on site photos of the two lighthouses before the original was demolished, only highlights the question as to why the original tower or lighthouse pylon, was not simply replaced? Would that have not been more cost effective? Why re-establish a whole new building when only the tower of the original building posed the problem? What else was at play here? Was the original building not on the right ley line? And to all those who really want to know a little more about this country's hidden history. I believe you cannot go past a book titled: Beyond Capricorn, by Peter Trickett, from, East Street Publications, Adelaide, SA, 2007. This fact filled book traces how the Portuguese in the early 16th Century, secretly mapped Australia and New Zealand, 250 years before then, Lieutenant Cook, even clapped eyes on the places! Happy learning folks, and thanks girls, for another provocative and eye watering history lesson!

Hi there girls, we love your channel and we also look forward to watching in. There is a book Coles Picture Funny book, there are 3 of them. Funny enough it has a story of a tunnel he had stumbled upon on the cliffs at Sydney. But what he said he found was the tail of the rainbow serpent. Overall it is a weird book , not one I would have given to my grandkids in 1979. But as mature adults these days, and a bit more sence we were looking at them and had 2 of the books. Anyway, I do not have the book anymore. That story fascinated me, he apparently has a book store in Melbourne, There were many stories in there that made us say W T F !!!!!! Hi Ladies, since your sydney demolished buildings episode I've been dying to read the book by Jacques Arago "Narrative of a voyage around the world". Anyway I'm reading about Sydney (what I can search so far) and found this interesting paragraph: "An edifice equally useful and majestic first presents itself to the view of the traveller. At the South entrance of the river rises a magnificent light-house, equally solid and elegant in its structure ; the light is visible at a distance, is revolving, and shows itself only at equal intervals, that diips may not confound it with fires kindled on other parts of the mountains. A telegraph is added to this building, and corresponds, through two inter- mediate posts, with that placed on the governor's palace, at Sydney. " I thought about your comments on this video and as I'm not super familiar with Sydney (Brissie girl here) I had a look on google maps and yes it doesn't make sense.. This kind of describes Hornby Lighthouse. In saying that though, as you both mentioned in the video it is barely in a useful location and it definitely is NOT what is described above as "magnificent light-house, equally solid and elegant in its structure"...... it's cute and all, but not solid and elegant, which makes me think they're talking about Macquarie Lighthouse, but the location still doesn't fit. Maybe the original light house was demolished, dunno! Anyway, as always love your stuff and thank you for referencing this book it's super interesting! I hope you've been able to read it on archive.org!

@@Lady-Antoinette it's true that different countries have a different pronunciation, but these girls clearly speak with an Australian accent and I am positive they're in Australia. Hi de hi fellow truth hunters- I’m reading a book, republished from 1880 on Faery mythology…. To my surprise Tartarie was mentioned. The context was …and Faerie next came to signify the country of the Fays. Analogy also was here aiding; for as a Nonnerie was a place inhabited by the Nonnes, a Jewerie a place inhabited by the Jews, so Faerie was naturally a place inhabited by Fays. It’s termination, too, corresponded with a usual one in the names of countries: Tartarie, for instance, and ‘the regne of Feminie.” Regne - rule,realm, kingdom. Puts a new spin on why they hid the power of this old world… and why they appear to hate women, and basically kept us standing as lower entities…. And why Eve has been blamed for everything!

Nice send up. There are tunnels all the way along to botany bay. The ones at la perouse are extensive. This WAS simply an observation post. The stairs from the top were sealed long ago. The photos of the " ancient " ruins at la perouse are merely the concrete tops of the magazines for the two 6 inch guns that were there. If you want to find out the truth about ALL these tunnels, try the defence department or War memorial archives.
