To be fair, that's def. partly because a lot of it you literally can't speed up. Eight of those minutes are pure autoscroller.

@@JT-hs6hc Yea, unlike all of the first four levels, there's like 2 to 5 paths and one of those paths are easily shortcuts, In mission 5, no shortcuts or variant paths, An extremely long path consisting of many bosses and sections.

Still its the most well thought out final mission in the series, really just love the overall construction of it from your comrade being kidnapped and you working with your enemy once more to take down an even bigger enemy Edit: still it would really take longer if they took the other paths

11:26 I remember thinking this boss in particular had a ludicrous amount of health and I feel super vindicated by the fact that even a perfect TAS bot controlling 2 players at once still takes like 30 solid seconds of sustained double gunfire to kill it. I think the thing that really bugged me was that the guy with the bazooka never dies even though he's literally not protected by the helicopter AT ALL. what a chad!

Metal slug was always about the journey,more than the war aspect, from the first game you have, Aztec ruins, Europe, jungles, towns and cities; Metal slug 2 went a step further with very recognizable places like China, Arabia, travel through train, and Egyptian ruins ending with a military base and an alien invasion. To me Metal Slug 3 was the very best because they took everything to the extreme, you have a tropical island, followed by a ridden zombie experimental facility with alien ruins, a submarine mission with a lot of branching paths ending with a factory boss, followed by an dogfight setting and after that they take the only place left to fight in, SPACE!, and you come back by falling while fighting a HUGE alien, c'mon, you just gave us the craziest journey of my life in a single trilogy, the next games were not as good or memorable, except for Metal Slug 7 (you're fighting the future itself)

If the spaceship missiles share ammo count with your bomb stock, both players should have zero missiles going into that segment, yet clearly they still start with them. 2. Even if they don’t explicitly share ammo count and just deplete bomb stocks, no Slugs in the entire series (to my knowledge) work like that anyways. Either they have their own separate auxiliary ammo stock or the character simply just tosses their personal bombs. (Or switches between the two.) Case in point, at the beginning of Mission 5 both players get into planes and use their auxiliary weapons but still have 10 bombs when they both crash their planes. 3. If you want video evidence against your point, look up a VTuber by the name Oozora Subaru playing MS3. Everyting about her situation in this mission goes in direct contrast with what you’re claiming.

it's got kind of a wonky perspective to it, like your character can overlap with the sprite of the attack sometimes without getting actually hit by it since it's technically in the background.
