Long before Duke Nukem ever starred in a 3D game, he was the hero in two platform games. This is the first game in which he starred, battling Dr. Proton to save the Earth from his evil Techbot army.
This run plays the first (shareware) episode of the game.
SioN ( tasvideos.org/... ) improves the previous TAS ( tasvideos.org/... ) by 9.21 seconds, thanks to better optimisation as well as new strategies and a completely new glitch. Please read the author's comments ( tasvideos.org/... ) for more details.

oh I don't have to imagine, I have fond memories of playing this and other DOS classics on a 286 laptop with no sound card (not that it would've made a difference for games like this)

I would play this game again if it wasn't constrained to such a tiny screen. You have one second to notice that enemy right in front of you as you move and you will collide. Child me didn't care.

This game's sizzle reel claimed to have "Better graphics than the NES". (Or as it was called, "Nintendo"). Now, while I can understand that claim in part, I also completely deny that claim; especially claimed against the whole library of the NES, and the then new/imminent SNES. There's Gimmick, Kirby's Adventure, Castlevania 3, Super Mario Bros 3, and a whole lot more games I'd cite as better looking.

the "Better graphics than the NES" doesnt even make sense :DD duke nukem is one game while the NES is a whole console :P and yeah the nes definetly looks (controls and sounds) better
