Now this is a surprise, I did not expect to see a speed run of this game, let alone seeing it perform above 20 FPS. In fact, I never thought anyone but me would even play this game, lol.

@@Spaghettiest Well unless you have the actual hardware for it, your only option is emulation. But... watch out for Uncle Nintendo.

Oh believe me other people played this. When I was younger my dad used to play this and he struggled with it. While that was happening younger me was getting traumatized by the hub world (the sounds, music and looks just did something to me ig). I really am curious if it's just me or if the hub scared anyone else...

0:44 This man is a legend. Skipping directly to the "FEAR" section. 28:10 AAH my favorite gun. I always loved the reloading sound. 39:27 🤣🤣🤣Rapid Fire. 49:46 Ah running on ropes. Unique! 56:34 How do you do this? I don't think we can move while first person aiming. 1:05:23 😂Again with the rapid fire. Overall really well-done! I often watch speed-runs to find unique techniques and glitches and this video doesn't disappoint. I saw some areas where you were slowed down a little so I am pretty sure you could easily get this run below 1 hour. Once again really well done.

Regarding your first person comment, this is a trick called perspective force slide. Some walls stop the rolling animation if you roll into them, however the rolling speed persists for a couple frames. By entering first person, you persist the high rolling speed

I struggled with many aspects of this game when I was younger, so it was really cool to see someone come out and demolish it so completely and thoroughly in a speed run. How long did it take to master the game like this?

I didn't have much difficulty with this game back in the day, except for the bosses. I absolutely hated the bosses. That stupid pork boarding nearly drove me to madness.
it's wild that any% is only like... 30 seconds long and 100% takes over an hour. still v impressive!!!

Is this jump at 44:42 feasible for humans? If so, any tips for pulling it off? I've even tried incorporating the Banana-Myte to boost upwards, but no luck.
@Ballaam Жыл бұрын
I don't think I've seen it performed by any N64 Jim 3D runners since it requires a walljump. Here's a clip of the bananamyte jump: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pmO7dXlsq9p7rZI Here's an easier version of a bananamyte jump for that udder that's done on the other side: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y2LGaXamob6Yf80m15s

I am positioned on the missile spawn spot and I am close enough to Professor Monkey for a Head to where the missile blows up within a couple frames. The missile pickup respawns after a frame after the missile has made contact with the boss/player. As such, I am able to shoot one missile every three frames.
