Unfortunately, this series was cut short. Arika regained the rights to the non-Street Fighter characters from the Street Fighter EX games and decided to go with them instead, creating Fighting EX Layer. All that made it from this game into FEXL is some of the music.

Arika deserves so much more recognition and praise for everything they have done for the fighting game genre. Also I love how Tetsuo's theme sounds like something that would perfectly fit into Under Night In Birth make him a guest character in UNI2 Soft Circle French Bread! I can see him, Akatsuki and Enkidu interact and become bros in story mode fr.
