I own mk. 4 for PS1 and N64. I do prefer the N64 over it s PS1 counterpart not only for smoother Graphics but to access cheat menu you just simply hold block + run while highlighting credits in options screen. In PS1 you have to input cheat during 2 player vs. Mode which may require an additional person to input cheats

Tool Assisted Speedrun- basically, using tools outside of the normal game (such as slowing the game down, using save states, or feeding inputs to an AI to play back) in order to create a perfect run.

Tool Assisted Speedrun I won't pretend I know exactly how it works, but a TAS is usually when someone plays a game through an emulator and inputs actions frame by frame to achieve frame perfect button presses. They also have the ability to reverse the gameplay so they can predict what the game will do and make decisions based on that.
