Created by an Asian pirate developer, Koko Adventure was released in Korea in 1993. The game was planned to be released unlicensed in America as Buzz and Waldog, but was cancelled before it could hit store shelves.
The game's pirate origins are obviously visible - many of the graphics are ripped from popular games like Super Mario Bros. ( tasvideos.org/... ) and Sonic the Hedgehog ( tasvideos.org/... ), and the sound effects are borrowed from Tiny Toon Adventures ( tasvideos.org/... ).
This is the author's second submission of this game, and improves on the previous one by skipping intermission screens faster.

This game looks incredibly good for being a bootleg, not gonna lie. If you told me this was a underrated Famicom game released in Japan I would totally believe it.

It's impressive how they ripped off so many Super Mario World graphics, some of them are the EXACT SAME but with NES color limitations. Even level layouts!!! 0:08 Default SMW ground and bush, snakes are Baby Yoshis modified. 0:13 Mushroom ground from Yoshi's Island 4 level. 0:16 Floating platforms also from Yoshi's Island 4 level. 0:35 SMW key, slighly modified. 0:53 Giant bush from the Yoshi's Island 2 level and little animated grass from Super Mario Bros. 2. 3:19 Vine plant from SMW. 6:07 Grey blocks from SMW. 6:20 The clouds looks like the ones you see on the montain of SMW's Yoshi's Island worldmap. 8:41 Mushroom columns with a plant on top from Vanilla Dome 4 and ropes from Valley of Bowser 3. 11:02 SMW's cave ground tileset. Also, this level layout looks exact the same as the second room from Chocolate Secret. 12:35 Another copied level layout, this one from Chocolate Island 4.
