@@elienaihernandez3681 RNG Manipulation. Notice whenever they're in the menu they go stupid with the cursor, or just pause every-so-often? Every time you do anything like pause, move the cursor, etc. the RNG rerolls, making how many steps til an encounter become different. Toll Assisted Speedruns means going through the game frame by frame with frame-perfect inputs and save states to make a seemless playback of the gameplay; so they probably go back to right before an encounter, manipulate for a long span of time without encounters, then keep going.
