Hey all, TAS co-author here. The first 24 races were finished years ago by FRK, using heavy RNG manipulation and exhaustive upgrade management. The last 12 races were done by me using a brute force search bot. This movie wouldn't have been possible without the help of ktwo, who motivated me to work on it. Hope you enjoy it!

That rubber band AI is sure tight. In the early races, even the TAS bot struggles to get a good distance ahead.

I like how you can see the rental killer kick in right at the end of the city course. They start to perform _way_ beyond their upgrade and agressiveness.

@@frankus9 Tool Assisted Speedrun. It is a speedrun made at very slow speed using savestates for demonstrative purposes in order to show off the extreme limits of what is possible in the game as if a god were to pick up the controller and play.

I never even knew it was possible to be anything other than the red car. Or that it was possible to boost off the starting line without a nitro. Never owned or seen this game…discovered it on Nesticle but it’s a great racer. & yeah the AI is ruthless here but the game expects you to spend big $$$ on the heat seeker missiles and all that fun stuff to keep them in check…this run just sticks to the old school weapons and doesn’t abuse them. But even with the perfect inputs throughout the race, 4UP only wins by a car length sometimes!

$183,330 accumulated and $77,000 spent. 376 points earned. Now to do 4 players. A 4 player TAS adds strategy. 13 continues will have to be bought and by who. Continues start at $1,000 and get more expensive every time it's been bought. $44,000 to be spent on 'em.

A.K.A The Revenge of the Yellow Car after getting destroyed in the previous game. EDIT: Oh, what? You don't get what i mean? In the first game, the TAS it got, the others were making comments about the Yellow car getting beated, since for this second game, the TAS controls the Yellow car, i thought you would have gotten the joke but.. i guess not because i see 0 likes.

This one came out way late in the NES's life cycle. I rented it twice from Blockbuster in maybe 1994 or 1995, but I never remember seeing it for sale at Walmart, Toys R Us, etc.
