I don't think that TAS can be called cheating. It's meant to show off how the game itself can be broken/run perfectly, not how good the player is.

I love it when TASes do silly stuff during "cutscenes" like this. He did a similar kind of thing around while waiting at 15:33. Biospark does some stuff like that in his Metroid Fusion 100% TAS, and Dragonfangs does some hilarious stuff while waiting for the final boss...and after finishing the final boss in his Metroid Zero Mission 100% TAS (I think its funnier in the 1:01:43.7 in game time video (this isn't his fastest run, but I think the screwaround is funnier in that one than in the fastest one.) I recommend watching those, some parts of them are just gold.

I do not think that my new Shaktool speed-strategy (seems like I am not allowed to put the corresponding link in here) alone would make it worth doing a new TAS, since TASes take a lot of effort and therefore one should maybe wait until more new strategies are found to put them together into a new TAS, but since this is the fastest TAS of this category as far as I know, I thought I´d mention it here, because it could be interesting for those who want to improve/work on this category.

But he jumped back through the door in time to avoid it. Unfortunately, that's the room where the animals are when you save them. So it's not safe to try to save them at this point.

If I recall correctly, the blocks directly above that are the ones that crumble when you walk on them. It appears that doing the healing move like that somehow caused Samus to clip through it, allowing access to the missile pack from the wrong side.

Granted, I'd save them if I did 100% speedruns of this game, but most runners don't since it does cost time and doesn't apply to the percentage. AGDQ does bid wars whether to save or kill them during runs of this game.
