people claim that SSBM and SSBB seem to be better than the wiiU and 3DS versions. why is that?

people claim ssbm and the project m MOD for ssbb* is better because they are faster pace along with all the mechanics such as wavedashing, and L-canceling. The reason nintendo got rid of them is to close the skill cap. it was much easier to combo moves in Melee because of its mechanics.
