This game was released at the end of the PS1 era and was 4 discs long. It holds up a lot better than most PS1 era games do graphics wise. It's worth a play, even if some of the cutscene stuff tends to drag on in spots (cough lindblum and early disc 3 cough). This would be the last classic-style FF in the series as X and later went in different directions with the shift to a fully 3D game style.

Skipping the Cutscenes you may end up at 4 or 5 Hours xD The cutscenes, while stunning for its age, do take a shit load of time to watch. In the PS1 version, these were not skippable. Imagine you lose a bossfight which has a long cutscene and dialogues... You have to sit through that stuff all over xD

@@Tramveller actually, I heard you can open the disk tray when the cutscenes appear and close it and eventually it'll skip the cutscene.. it's almost required in order to get Steiner's ultimate weapon Excalibur II (MAJOR EDIT: since you need to beat the game in 12 or less hours in order to get it from the final dungeon)
