Master of Darkness is an action platformer developed for the Sega Game Gear and the Sega Master System by SIMS, and published by SEGA in 1992. The gameplay is very similar in nature to the Castlevania series of games. You play as a psychologist trying to defeat Dracula. This requires you to fight your way through several spooky locations such as cemeteries, laboratories, castles or a house of wax dolls.
zoboner ( tasvideos.org/... ) makes his way through the five rounds and defeats Dracula in record time.

Wow, I didn't realize Sega had such a faithful Castlevania clone. This one even lets you jump from stairs!

The extra maneuverability looks like a nice upgrade, the graphics seemed pretty decent, and some of the thematic choices were fun. Like, when do we get a waxworks level in Castlevania? Level design in general looked okay for its time too. The gameplay seemed mostly unremarkable though, and the sound and music seemed subpar. Overall a pretty good clone, it appears.

You are not far off from the truth lol It's pretty good! Sadly the game's not as tightly designed as Castlevania, which makes it less fun to me as well, buuuut it's still fun enough ^^
