Donkey Kong's been kidnapped and old Cranky Kong insists that Diddy collect a bunch of coins that say "DK" on them. These goals are compatible enough that Diddy and Dixie decide to get a little bit sidetracked on their rescue plan.
This movie improves on its predecessor by 00:45.28 seconds, primarily by using a debug code to get 75 Kremkoins early, allowing for a faster route through the game. Reading the authors' comments ( tasvideos.org/3578S ) is recommended.

This game came out the year I graduated high school. Sadly, I never got a chance to experience it because at the time, my family had games for the computer (Cyberia 2, Robin Hood: Conquests of the Longbow, Heart of China, The Return to Zork and Quest For Glory 1 and 3) and I was more into those. I remember playing DKC2 and DKC3 on the snes in my childhood and DK2 being my most favourite never gets dull or boring, i have played this over and over again. I love all the enemies in the game, my favourite is those ghostly green coat monsters who have red glowing eyes and throws wooden boxes at you. And those hook guys look pretty cool. And OMG the music in this game is amazing. My favourite music from this game must be that Forest Interlude and the level Web Woods with that misty mysterious fog, such a mysterious cozy beautiful level. The game still holds up today and have aged really well. Probably my most favourite video games ever.

The hard mode cheat was used. It removes all DK barrels, but you get your partner back at the start of every level and after the bonus rounds. I know the comment is a year old, but I hope it still helps.

It's a secret built in by the developers. It's only triggered when you follow these exact steps. You could only know about that if you read about it in some magazine back then. But once you know about it, it's not hard to pull off anymore and you'll get 75 Kremkoins at once.

Sometimes when theirs too many sprites on screen or you loaded the sprite too fast,the game doesn't have time to load the correct color pallet of whatever sprite so it loads in that weird gold pallet instead

From tasvideos: This run uses a trick that is erroneously called in-game cheat to collect all 75 Kremkoins on Pirate Panic. Compare it to a Warp Barrel; when you want to beat the game fast, all the Warp Barrels are used as shortcuts, then why not the 75 Kremkoins trick? This trick made it possible to pay Klubba's Kiosks before I normally would, but the time spent to perform the trick surpassed the backtrack needed to pay him. Towards the percentage, the trick gives me nothing and since I want to achieve 102% of the game, I still have to collet all 75 Kremkoins the way it's meant to be collected. No advantage on Klubba, also not a single percent of the game given, so why use the trick then? The answer is a chat with Cranky at the end of the first K. Rool fight, it's too long and it can't be skipped, the trick made it possible to leave it outside the run.
