i litterally dont know why they call him Balrog in the japanese version when Vega is litterally a Spanish name. Bison/Barlog works both ways for the Boxer because it is a bull and a strong demon. as for the dictator i dont know what name really suits him tbh

Bison: Mike Tyson parody, and bison is an American beast Balrog: Cage fighter with claws and menacing face(or rather mask), thus a "demon" Vega: a bright star -> out of this world -> alien -> psychic power is like an "alien" in a martial arts setting (also he used to have star on his cap before it got replaced by the skull with wing)

@@codybyas2675 When the game was ported over to the U.S, 3 of the 4 boss characters had their names switched. The Boxer went from M. Bison to Balrog, The Claw went from Balrog to Vega, and Dictator went from Vega to M. Bison.

Well, it's the Japanese version of the game and in Japan his name was Balrog (not Vega)
