Pandit Tushar Dutta is a Hindustani Classical Music and Semi-Classical Music Vocalist. One of the most celebrated vocalist of Kolkata, India. He took "Taalim" on Hindustani Classical Music from ITC Sangeet Research Academy.
Tushar was born in a musical family. He started learning the fundamentals of Indian Classical music from Pandit Bimal Mitra of Durgapur at an early age. Later he joined ITC Sangeet Research Academy in 1983, at first he took Taalim under Pandit A Kanan, later under Pandit Arun Bhaduri in Kirana Gharana. He also took Taalim in Agra Gharana under Pandit K G Ginde and Pandit Sunil Bose and also from his Guru-Sister Vidushi Subhra Guha. The distinct and mellifluous blend of Kirana and Agra Gharana in his renditions is indeed remarkable. A perfect balance between emotional and technical qualities characterises his musical creations.
Tushar was awarded the National Scholarship from the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India. He is a "Top Grade" artist in the All India Radio and Doordarshan. In 1998, Dutta stood first in Khayal at All India University competition in Banaras . He has received the title of "Surmani" from Sur Sringar Samsad of Mumbai.
He has performed all over India and Abroad. Few noted conferences are Akashvani Sangeet Sammelan, ITC Sangeet Sammelan (all over India), Swarganga Sangeet Mahotsav (Mumbai), Saptak (Ahmedabad), Sawai Gandharva Bhimsen Mahotsav (Pune), Kolkata Music Forum (Kolkata), PARAMPARIK Classical Music Conference (Kolkata), West Bengal State Music Academy Conference (Kolkata), Chowdhury House Music Conference (Kolkata), Uttarpara Sangeet Chakra (Kolkata), Doverlane Classical Music Conference (Kolkata), Sangeet Piyasi Classical Music Festival (Kolkata) , Mayar Madhuri by Bengal Foundation (Dhaka), Chhayanaut Classical Music Festival (Dhaka), Chetla Murari Smriti Sangeet Sammilan (Kolkata), Lakshyapar Classical Music Conference (Narayanganj, Bangladesh), Sadarang Classical Music Festival (Chittagong, Bangladesh) etc.
Across the globe, he is also delivering workshops on Indian Classical Music.

Not kotali...but kirana and agra gharana....guruji trained under pt bimal mitra..pt arun bhaduri.....pt. kg ginde...they are from agra gwalior and kirana gharana.
