A great point raised by Taslima-"Women should not be dependent upon men to grant them equality or anything, rather they must stand up for themselves on the bedrockes of high and good education. Abolishment of triple talaaq is a very little step towards the goal. If anything can work against the whole extremist patriarchal system, it is only self-reliance. Quran (53:27) - "Those who believe not in the Hereafter, name the angels with female names." Angels are sublime beings, and would therefore be male. Quran (4:24) and Quran (33:50) - A man is permitted to take women as sex slaves outside of marriage. Note that the verse distinguishes wives from captives (those whom they right hand possesses).
