I have a tassimo machine and I also put in the espresso pod on its own a few times forgetting the milk pod. I have since learned from my mistakes. I use the Americano pods predominantly in my tassimo machine.

You can also use the yellow disk for plain hot water.

Yes you could, but give it a good rinse through first until the water runs clear, otherwise you'll have rinsed out hot water in your mug with bits in..... not pleasant

This is rubbish advice. The water it runs through with the yellow disk is exactly the same water, through the same pipes, as it is running through your coffee pod. It only cleans with the yellow disk when the cleaning light is on. At all other times it will be clean, clear hot water. Also, at the end of each dispensing of a drink, the machine ends with a burst of hot steam - this is clearing out the nozzle ready for the next drink.

Omg I got the tasmo machine 😊 Here's tip over time it will scale up make sure you buy a scale filter by tasmo otherwise, you end up buying a new machine. I like the machine as it does tea and hot chocolate

Yeah I know what you mean I prefer tea and hot chocolate too, we bought the descaling tablets early on in case for scale with the tassimo and our other coffee machine (Mark likes a lot of coffee🤦‍♀️😂☕☕☕☕☕☕).

Thank you for pointing out the 1 and 2 discs I hadn't noticed that. Well I've done all that and I've just got a half mug of bitter cappuccino , very disappointing. And by the way my mug is the same size as yours

Oh dear, was there enough water in the tank? Maybe give it a quick clean with the yellow disc. If that doesn't work maybe unplug your Machine fir a couple of mins then try again

Hey, cappuccino has smaller volume than latte in this system (tassimo)// notice the signs (mug-signs) on the pack -- latte is about 300 ml/ cappuccino 150-200ml, I think )

He mainly uses our large one at the moment for Coffee, but we always come back to our good old Tassimo for Hot Chocolate..... we go through phases😁😋 Thanks again for your comment/answer😁

Hi Lisa, it's been a while since we've used that coffee machine as we have a Nesspresso and Velevtiser now. I'm not sure, but I believe once the coffee starts to come through, before it finishes, you can press the button with the cup picture on and it should carry on to give you a full cup

though you can buy milk {16 pods), Latte etc, do come with the milk(8 pods), with there coffee pods, this equal to 8 drinks per pack. Shop around for pods, Asda UK do 3 packs fpr a £10, B&M and Pound Stretcher have many reduced prices. Also good for adding hot water to porridge pots. soups in packets, lemsips and many other things :)

Elen I've only just seen your question as Kuk kindly answered (thanks Kuk) and you've probably found out by now the milks are included with the coffees if the are lattes, if they are espresso then no, there are no milks in the hot Chocolates either unless they are the Oreo ones, the Oreo ones do come with milk.

Hi Suvy, yes you can use tap water, I would use room temperature water myself rather than very cold water. Also bear in mind if you live in a hard water area you may need to descale more often, but the machine will tell you when to descale.

Hi PKD, Thanks for your question, we don't clean it after every coffee made, if you make a coffee then make a hot chocolate you won't taste the coffee previously made in the hot chocolate. However the machine will tell you when it needs cleaning

Mine got very stuck just from a milk capsule. Maybe something about milk was wrong. Now it reads all coffee bar codes as milk and doses it very wrongly, now it makes heart attack coffees only.

Oh dear, have you tried checking to see if the sensor is damaged? If it doesn't work check to see if it's still under warranty or look online to see if they have a contact telephone number if so give them a call

@@Ronaldo-ou9vd ok so the ones with the two pods milk and coffee, they go in order part 1 and part 2 are you using them in the correct order? If so have you tried turning the Machine on and off? And have you tried using your yellow disc to do a rinse through in case there's a blockage? You may need to use cleaning tablets in case there may be a blockage

Sorry I have only just seen your question, I only use it for hot chocolate and Mark uses it for Coffee, but other than espresso yes it's seem pretty much one size, but I'm guessing if you want XL then maybe use two pods? That's what Mark used to do when he wanted a large coffee, now we have a different machine so he can make his large coffees :)

Really? What coffee was it? Your Tassimo will read the barcode so should be correct, but you never know

Before the coffee pod has finished, hold the button down and it will continue adding hot water, just release before it gets to the top as it will carry on for a few seconds after you release it.

Hi Frances of course I'll be happy to help . Firstly remove the plastic tray and rinse it out. Fill it with drinking water to the full mark. Put the tray back in and plug in the Tassimo. Lift the top lid and put in the yellow disk. Place a cup on the tray under the nossel. Press the button with the orange light once.wait for the flashing orange light to stop. Tip out the water and do this 2 more times. Now you can use the Tassimo! Take out the yellow disc but do not throw it away. Fill the drink tray with drinking water and put in a drink pod into the top compartment and Place a cup on the tray. Press the button with the orange light and wait for it to stop flashing. Enjoy your drink! I hope that helps.

Hi Henri, thanks for your question. Yes for the price and the various drinks it can make we would recommend the Tassimo. We had the Tassimo for a couple of years before we got the others and we were very happy with the hot chocolate and coffees it produced. However since Mark has bought the other Machine he prefers the Coffee from the other Machine. I still use the Tassimo for my hot chocolates as I don't drink coffee, but we feel the Tassimo is a good all round family Machine giving something for everyone where as other machines are pretty much only aimed at coffee drinkers. We've bought the Tassimo for several members of friends and family and they love it.

Great we hope you enjoy it, we ordered a variety pack from Amazon so we could try different drinks, if you do that though, be careful in the sense that you can't choose what you want, they're just random selections of what they have readily available, but we found it useful and fun trying different drinks without having to buy whole packs of drinks just to try, always read the reviews before ordering the variety box from Amazon. Yes the water is very hot, but not boiling kettle hot.

Hi Irene, I don't know to be honest. You might be able to, but the coffee machine reads the Tassimo Pods barcode so it can determine, water, froth, hot Chocolate, coffee, milk etc. We've only used the tassimo pods. Your advice to leave the yellow disk in the machine to denote it "is not in use" is dangerous nonsense. The disk should only be used for the cleaning process or when you actually want hot water. At all other times it should remain in the storage slot. If you leave it in and someone, say a child, accidentally presses the button the machine will spill out scolding hot water potentially injuring someone. Without the disk or a t.pod, the machine won't do anything if the button is pressed by unsuspecting persons.

I see the mistake, Mark didn't mean to say actually leave it in the Machine when NOT in use we do actually mean to leave it in the slot provided Although I wouldn't use the disc for hot water unless you want to drink machine rinsed hot water, I might be mistaken, but I didn't read anything in the instructions that you could use the yellow disc for hot water as well, as rinsing the Tassimo machine with the yellow disc.....
