So weird, I've only been in Panama about 6 months and have stayed and ate at every placed you showed on this video. There is also a very good Italian restaurant across the street from Sen Vietnam. I don't remember the name of it but there's a sign for it close to the street but the restaurant actually sits back off the street. A little hidden gem. Very good and very reasonably priced as well.

@@bernadette503 Same. We have to finish the reno on the house (we are in BC) and plan to rent it out. Looks like we may have to drive across the border. My dog is too large to fly, so I will be driving to Panama :P and my wife and kids will fly. I would like to hope for late august

Thank you for the restaurant reviews in the El Cangrejo area. Panama City has so many wonderful restaurants that is totally overwhelming to just leave it to chance. Wifey and I make a list of the different types of cuisine that we want to experience on certain days of the week and that way we, substantially, narrow down the field. We also give ourselves a break, by renting for a few nights, an AirBnB top notch apartment with a kitchen, fridge, washer/drier, WIFI and NetFlix TV instead of a hotel room near the restaurants that we want to try out. Although, all restaurants are only an UBER away...it is nice to know that if you drank a bit too much, you can stumble back to your place without any issues... :D PS. Sorry forgot to add that you can get a clean and centrally located AirBnB 1-bdrm apartment as described above for about the same as what you would pay at a hotel (i.e. Coral Suites)

With all the global warming that's been taking place, I surprised myself these last three years when my Maracuya (passionfruit) vines bore fruit ... IN NEW JERSEY!!! I made icecream syrup with them! :P

I did not care for Maharaja. That being said, I would return. I found the food to be quite bland. I chalked it up to what I have heard about Panamanians not liking spicy food. So if I were to return I would ask them to not be shy about serving me real Indian food.
@michelemckeand66652 жыл бұрын
This is not meant to speak poorly of Maharaja or debate your review. I did not order the same dishes. Just to help others who enjoy a lot of spice.

Learn to spell the name of the places you report on...It's El Cangrejo ......not El Congrejo......Pitiful
@IGoPanama2 жыл бұрын
Learn to conduct yourself as an adult, not a psuedo-aggressive keyboard warrior. Your life will be much richer if you are able to engage in meaningful conversation with others. For example, you could have said, "I noticed that you misspelled El Cangrejo. It's not spelled with an O." That is called constructive criticism and I greatly appreciate it! But no, you choose to spend your energy being rude and critical instead of helpful. YOU are what is wrong with the world today- and your actions are far more pitiful than a misspelled word.
