The Super Tournament will always hold a special place in my heart. One because I love the marathon format (rough on the casters/players tho lol) and two because seeing Polt sweep MMA in the 2011 Super Tournament was the first time I truly got into esports

Oh wow, that would have been something to see Polt sweep MMA way back in 2011. I was aware of StarCraft esports back when StarCraft II came out, but I didn't really start following the scene until I started doing the highlight videos about a year ago. Unrelated, but I'm thrilled that Polt's back. I don't know if he's going to participate in any more tournaments, but it's cool that he's streaming again. Thanks for sharing your anecdote! It's always fun to hear people's experiences with tournaments. I think I prefer the GSL format the most when it comes to tournaments, though I can appreciate the marathon format for what it is.
