Күн бұрын

Red Snapper is a sweet, moist fish that doesn't need a lot to make it taste good. This Caribbean Baked Red Snapper is massaged with fresh green seasonings, and baked with various vegetables.
Lent just got even better! Try out this delicious recipe that Batman taught me. I added my own touch of course!
You will need:
1 whole Red Snapper (or any fish you like)
Mushrooms
Onion
Ginger
Pimento Peppers
Carrots
Sweet Peppers
Celery Leaf and Stalk
Chive (Scallion)
Thyme
Tomatoes
DRY RUB:
2 teaspoons Lemon Pepper
2 teaspoons Cajun Seasoning
2 teaspoons Salt
GREEN SEASONING:
2 inch piece of Ginger
20 cloves of Garlic
1 Hot Pepper
8-10 Shadon Beni/Bandhania Leaves
2 tablespoons of Butter
2 teaspoons Soy Sauce
Drizzle of Sesame Oil
Bake at 325F or 162C for 30-35 minutes.

I cooked this recipe last night it was killer. I used a 12lb red snapper I caught in the Gulf of Mexico out of Venice Louisiana. I added a mango. The family loved it

I really appreciate you! I have never made fish before. my boyfriend is from china and he likes to eat whole fish. This was my first try and i am so glad i found you! I us garam masala as the main flavor because i didn't have cajun seasoning. i thought everything was delightful and fun to make! this is the first time i have enjoyed cooked fish. My boyfriend loves it as well.

Not gonna lie, I was skeptical about the ginger (bc where I’m from we don’t use ginger that much in foods) but looking at the end result, this recipe seems amazinggggg 😍😍😍 I can’t wait to try. Plus my husband is trini so I wanna give my island food a break and cook something he’s more familiar with lol.

Great recipe 👍🏼, looks delicious 😋 thanks for sharing. Surely going to try this recipe. Can you steam the fish? What is the difference between the two methods? How long should you steam it for?
@TasteofTrini
@TasteofTrini 6 жыл бұрын
Elizabeth Taylor Thank you! Glad you like the recipe. Yes you can steam it but if you're steaming it, it might be hard to add all these ingredients to a steamer basket. It will take about 15-20 minutes depending on the size of the fish.
