In Trinidad and Tobago, there's a popular saying- "Every Monday is Caura."
Today, you'll get an insight into what a Trinbagonian river lime is all about. I am sure everyone has their own version of what a river lime entails- feel free to leave comments!

I used to visit caura river in Trinidad a lot of times on many of my visit there, all now I still have one of the video when I was there in 2014.... the scenery was very beautiful, the water was cool and nice, plus there were always many humble and friendly face around too. It reminded me when I lived in T&T in the 70,s we always went to Caura and when tha water locked off we would take our clothes to wash it and I always walked with shampoo and conditioner now it’s really nice and much more developed

I never had fried crab but it looks tasty.In guyana we have sea crab(buck crab),sherriga (a very tasty swamp crab)and bundarie crab which is a very big crab only found in the Essequibo region of guyana.someday you should visit guyana.we are only an hour apart by air..

Oh caura I remember good and bad times when I was about 9 years I went to poolside 2 went in the river and step on a broken bottle had to the hospital got 3 stitches tell people not to throw bottles in the river Rish I have so much stories about the river good lime

Food ALWAYS tastes better cooked outside, why I don't know but it is a fact even when you have to fight of the flies! I can only imagine the smells coming up from those pans. I would be fit to burst after making a rather big piggy of myself. Chillin, chattin, cookin outdoors and coolin off in the water, it cannot get better than that. I would love to give Iguana a go xxx

Yes, we love to cook outdoors and we have lakes and rivers all around us. The closest lake with beach is just five minutes away. We use a little portable camping stove, at this time of year and especially now it is very dry and a complete fire ban is in effect for the whole province . When we fish for mackerel we cook some fresh beach side in our cast iron skillet, straight out the sea and in the pan, delicious xx
