Weihenstephaner was my gateway into the world of 'special' beers. Still today, the best weiss I ever tasted.

It's most certainly up there with the best. That and Paulaner are my go-to's. Never tried them side by side yet though.

I've drunk plenty of Grolsch in my time. I haven't had any in a while. I will have to search for some. Unfortunately, the beer scene is not as great here in Florida as when I lived in Wisconsin! I Miss a lot of those regional brews that aren't distributed down here.

I stopped drinking this past Thanksgiving but I always enjoy watching you 2! I have dabbled into the N/A beers. Dos Equis lime and salt is a really good N/A beer! 👍

Good on you for that. Always good to do what's best for our health, no doubt. I have been thinking about doing a tasting of N/A beers since there are so many now. I tried the N/A Guinness and think it's pretty good. Thanks for watching.

@drinkingwithcraigandroger4539 Maybe do a N/A tasting! The Heineken N/A is actually good too!

Weihenstephaner is definitley a go-to in the fall. Try their festbier! It is definitely my favorite on tap in DC in the fall.

Good stuff! Maybe an IPA review next? I would be curious to see how some hold up in a blind tasting

Mmmm, a good and tasty recommendation. Probably Roger's favorite beer so I have a feeling this one will make it's way on the list!

I am from Salzburg, Austria where Stiegl is from and I was shocked when I saw that you had a Radler. Thank god you clarified why 😂. I like Stiegl because I grew up with it, but Weihenstephan plays in a different league. Especially the wheat beer. Thanks for the content!

😂 your shock is warranted. Glad we didn't do too badly talking about some of these beloved classics. Prost 🍻

Good stuff. I'll suggest trying out Paulaner's Munich Lager if you haven't already

Thanks for the recommendation. Paulaner's Hefeweizen has been a go-to for me for a long time but I don't think I've tried the Munich Lager yet.

oh man, Weihenstephaner is the beer I loved to get at Haus Hiedelberg, a family owned German restaurant in my home town in N.C. For sure one of my favorite beers.

Another good video guys! I tried a Wernesgruner Pils Legende the other day. They started in 1436. They got caught in East Germany til the reunification. It’s a really good Pilsner.

Interesting. I hadn't heard of that one before, thanks for the heads up. Cheers!

All great beers! The Radler is good when out fishing on the boat in the middle of summer

My uncle used to drink Lowenbrau almost exclusively but in the 90s at some point it went away from our local area and he switched to miller high life. Both beers he drank pony bottles.

In the 1970s and 1980s, The Lowenbrau available in the lower 48 states was brewed by Miller in Milwaukee and California.

Drank a many Grolsch biers while stationed in the Netherlands in late 80's. A 20 pak(case) went for $20 at the PX. Quite a bit of Amstel and Heineken as well. I was rather fond of the Grolsch. When back state side I got some Grolsch and the taste was definitely different, and of course cost a lot more.

These beers have to be completely different when fresh. No doubt.

be careful with Lowenbrau.....you can find it in Ohio and Illinois, but it's all brewed in North America by ABInBev (it's been brewed in London, Ontario, Canada by Labatt since 1973 - and tastes nothing like the real German version)
