Edit Edit: If you want to see this series in real time across ten episodes just search Tasty Classics Panhard Edit: Despite some people not being happy that this isn't the usual long format video, it has so far become the number 1 most viewed video in the time its been uploaded in the channel history, introducing hundreds of new subscribers and bringing in much needed funds. I'm not the Discovery channel, i don't have a team of camera operators and editors so manage your expectations please im working 7 days a week, thats the maximum amount of days i can work 😂 Very very busy in the workshop with a couple of big projects so no big video this week, enjoy this little montage instead of my favourite resurrection ❤️

After 24 years as a mechanic i lost the love for cars and engines and went down a new career path which I now really enjoy, however after stumbling across your channel and binge watching every one of your videos i have honestly fallen back in love with cars , so i bought a 1986 BMW e28 525e and got it back on the road and its now my daily driver and I love it especially when repairs are need, thank you Ben you inspired me and reignited my passion i had since i was 16 but lost 3 years ago, i wont go back into the trade as a career, just want to enjoy my hobby now . I'm shocked at some of the comments, I follow you on here and the podcast and have not been disappointed. As I'm currently rebuilding my focus ecoboost engine in my shed, I know all too well how long things take to do, nevermind film and edit it. I've spent many hours of my life welding, painting, repairing cars and in my opinion this channel is amazing. I can only imagine how much work and time went into the van. The panard is such an amazing car, the fact you haven't restored it's unique and look forward to seeing more of it. Cheers for the content pal.

Still my favourite restoration. I know you see it a bit differently, but I really think this car needs to be garaged in a dry place permanently when it's not being used. I know its patina is a living thing and all that, but still, for the sake of its longevity, it shouldn't be left outside.

This is awesome. There's something about the love being given to that very special car which has parallels to my own life, as my dad was a super Citroen fan running ID (DS), GS, BX and doing all his own maintenance. The Panhard shares many special features with Citroen of course. I grew up as a small boy with my dad working on his old Citroens, fighting the rust. His legacy to the world, aside from me and my brothers of course, was his keeper, the ID Safari, google 'HMK 6B'. Plus the lovely soundtrack.. thanks Ben !

@nathanpinder492810 күн бұрын
How come you plated on top of the rust rather than cutting it out like you usually do?
@smhorse8 күн бұрын
Lack of time, mostly. He was trying to get the thing ready to go to a show. If he'd done a full reproduction floor, with all the painstaking fabrication, bending and panel beating, he'd only just be finishing the car now.....and it would have lost all that early running time on the road that he did achieve. The usefulness of having a MoT-exempt car is that you can run around with improvised repairs whilst you think about how to tackle future jobs. In any event, that Panhard has seen better days and it's something of a miracle he got it back into something that actually starts, runs and stops.

It wants to be supplied and supported by people who really want to put it back together as if it was kept for the use of the day who will inherit the young people need to be not only educated but I love to keep our history in the auto industry Regards down under automotive electrical and mechanical engineer from the army. They train us best. Always look for Killswitch underneath the dash quite common putting in early motor vehicles and silver paper pushed in to the ignition switch cheers guys take lots of photographs.
