I take it that back-and-forth to get up slim vertical corridors isn't intended? This was a pretty cool one all around. It's funny to me that Taz eating exit signs is about 1/5th of the run because everything else is so fast, hahah.

No, in the game you are supposed to climb vertical shafts by jumping and spinning. In fact, it's not possible to progress without mastering this ability.
