Hi and I just watched it again, I am afraid that this is no joke at all. At 6:53 you got hit which is weird because you were doing so good. @@OperationChicago okay so 1. I didn't make this TAS 2. This isn't a recording of a human playing. This like if you took a list of inputs/button and played them into the game. It's not meant to be compared with real-time leaderboards since it's not a person playing in real time. 3. I'm not a DuckTales speedrunner myself, but the most likely reason why they got hit in the first place is probably because they had some extra time to spare while waiting for the bat to move to the left side of the screen. The time it takes for the bat to move to the left so they can bounce on it is faster than the time it would take for them to just hit the bat immediately and then have to go to the left and climb the rope. It's not a question of skill, it was a choice the person who created the video (the TASers are Aglar and MESHUGGAH) made. Also, these videos aren't ever taken down, even when a faster playthrough is done. You can always join a speedrunning community for DuckTales and ask yourself.

Actually, it has been one of the few games I could complete on the NES as a kid (I probably was 9). I wonder if you could choose easy mode only in European version.

Thinking about it clearly now - it's easy to see why they remastered this game. Because compared to that game - this one actually sucks.
