This game, ostensibly a spin-off of the Contra ( tasvideos.org/... ) series ( tasvideos.org/... ), began life as a completely unrelated game, yet still manages to invoke the spirit of the other games in being an insanely difficult, one-hit-kills-you shooter.
Contra Force offers a selection of one of four characters, a jumping glitch involving the pause screen, and lots and lots of lag - and yet the game is still completed remarkably quickly.
xipo ( tasvideos.org/... ) improves the previous TAS ( tasvideos.org/... ) by 2 minutes and 27.62 seconds, thanks to better lag reduction, new glitches and better optimisation.

@@laszlolevente2054 Yeah that one was a bootleg I think. So instead of burns, we got Rambo, Guille etc as character. Also, you only need to press up + shoot + start during the first mission. If you do it right, your lives changed from 8 (the bootleg had 8 lives instead of 2) to 17. When you drop your lives to 0, the counter reset to random simbol-9 once you died and even when you use all of those, your counter will reset to 99

The real challenge was to play on stage 2 and 4. On stage 1, 3 and 5 once you got RA (reactive armor, I presume) you are basically invincible as long as you press down your jump button

most laggy nes game without lags. Xipo is a legend)

Emulators with over clocking feature makes this game such a different experience. It's fun that way actually but painful on real hardware.

This is not a real person playing, it's a Tool-Assisted Speedrun. Witch means someone is telling an AI what to do. You can clearly see that the program or some software, knows exactly where every enemy is through the whole game. Also some of the low jumps are humanly impossible. Also it's very clear on boss fights that it's not a person playing, no one can match boss movement with such precision. TAS is mainly to help speedruners to see the best way possible.

Actually, a TAS is still a person playing the game. However, they are using an emulator, and playing the game one frame at a time, with the ability to rewind anytime there is a mistake. It takes a ridiculous amount of time and tens of thousands of “resets” (rewinds) to make a video like this. It’s not played by an A.I.
