Yeah. New game modes and bonus content. A whole, like head and shoulders above this one, putting Capcom to shame. Granted some of it you simply can't avoid making a merely updated sprite art of the 8 bit original, but for everything else there's a whole lot of "bells and whistles" that shows a towering level of technical standards. Spiff factor improved and just generally polished all around in ways this game didn't get. MM Sequel Wars is the sequel to Wily Wars we never realized that we wanted. Leaves little to the imagination. Really makes you wonder about how things could have been. It really feels like it's realized the potential in the 90's which Capcom squandered just doing a cheap money grab. In fairness, all this time later (better part of 30 years) it's really had time to bake and to surprise us all in a way frankly none of us was expecting.

This is absolutely one of the best Mega Man games in existence. The fact that Mega Man made it to the SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive as a compilation is totally amazing, and I’m glad about that. The music is very good and textures and graphics are neat. Controls do feel a bit wonky, though. Totally an upgrade from the NES versions, plus a new Wily’s Tower game. My score for this game overall is a 8.5/10.

There's some weird areas of slowdown I honestly wasn't expecting, considering the CPU speed of the console. Something that should've been fixed or smoothed out with better hardware.

@@elluciano5808 Capcom outsourced this game. Minakuchi Engineering, the company that did the GameBoy World titles (besides World II) and X3, made this game. They were probably used to how powerful the SNES was (besides CPU as Genesis has SNES beat in clock speed) as they also made Magic Sword's SNES port. Capcom's Mega Man division was more busy with games like Mega Man 6 and Mega Man X2 at the time, so they had Minakuchi Engineering handle this port as they had the reputation of making the pretty well received World games. The odd thing is that X3 didn't really suffer much from slowdown like this game did. I personally blame the console, but it could be other factors (i.e., the team having more experience after Wily Wars as X3 was in '95 while this game was in '94).

Ok i got to say something before i blow up but if anyone else knows about this reply to me please. So while playing the wily wars on the nintendo switch i stumpled across a glitch witch would be useful for new game plus. The glitch allows the player to start any megaman game with every weapon from the start. The glitch is simple to preform. You will first need to have a save file that is completed. Selected the completed save file and back out then select any file (preferred to be empty) and select the game you have every weapon in. Now when you check the weapon menu you sould have every weapon. This works for all 3 games.

in the NES TAS you can clip through walls to get the mag beam, and then use the mag beam to clip into the ceiling and skip entire levels. Because when you get stuck in the ceiling the game tries to push you out, but rather than push you out via y coordinates, it advances you on the x coordinates until you hit an open area. So you know between the gates you can clip into the ceiling and zip to the boss w/o walking.

@Jacob Hall no, zips are still here, and present in all 4 games. They most follow the presence of go up off screen using said utility item, grab ladder off screen into a wall/ceiling, hold left. In Mega 1 there is a zip in Fire Man and Elec Man (all be it using a run disqualificating glitch), in Mega 2 there's zips in Wood Man and Wily 4, in Mega 3 there's zips in Hard Man, Doc Spark, and refights. Then there's all the fun zips in Wily Tower.
