Tata Motors’ Commercial Vehicles are BSIV AND BSVI ready with Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) and new future leading Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR)

Tata Motors is the first OEM to have introduced EGR technology in India in 2010 for BS IV on commercial vehicles
EGR is developed in-house and covers the entire range of Tata engines including the new generation 3-litre and 5-litre engines
Tata Motors then created new benchmark with SCR technology in 2014 for M&HCV Truck and bus applications on Tata Cummins engines
SCR offers cleaner exhaust; better power and fuel efficiency
SCR is the globally proven technology for all Euro 4 and above applications for the entire range of M&HCV, in both emerging as well as developed markets such as the U.S. & Europe
SCR will enable Tata Motors to meet stringent BS VI emission norms
Tata Motors, the country’s largest truck and bus manufacturer, announced readiness of SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) and EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) technologies for BSIV compliant engines, powering its range of Commercial Vehicles.
Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) technology adopted by Tata Motors in 2010 will continue to power small-to-medium category of commercial vehicles with engine power requirements up to 180HP. EGR helps toreduce NOx emissions from the engine. Additionally, Tata Motors has adopted the globally proven SCR technology since 2014 for its Medium and Heavy-Duty Commercial vehicles ranging from 130HP to 400HP. Tata Cummins Ltd, a JV between Tata Motors and US-based Cummins Inc. has developed these engines. SCR technology allows engine to operate at more optimal combustion temperature providing better power, fuel efficiency and lower NOx and particulate matter generation.
D. E. F SYSTEM
While EGR is a relatively low cost, simple, and ‘easy to integrate’ technology, SCR can be scaled up further to meet the stringent BS VI emission standards. Tata Motors has perfected both the SCR and EGR technologies on a wide range of TML vehicles that have been sold to customers within India as well as abroad.
Ravindra Pisharody, Executive Director Commercial Vehicles, Tata Motors said, “Tata Motors has led technology changes in the Indian commercial vehicle industry over the last six decades. We have always endeavoured to develop products and introduce future technologies, ahead of regulations and have played a proactive role in regulation compliance. Tata Motors continues to be at the forefront of meeting emission regulation, driven by our concern on environment and health impact. Introduction and adoption of EGR and SCR technology in 2010 and 2014 respectively reiterates our capabilities with regard to introducing future technologies. Because we strongly believe in offering the best-suited technology for various applications, we will offer both SCR and EGR technologies on BS IV solutions. This will not only meet regulatory requirements for emission norms but also optimize the total cost of ownership, ultimately benefitting our customers.”

Elaborating, Pisharody said, “Offering precise technology for the right duty cycle and application will be critical for the success and sustainable business operations of the Commercial Vehicle industry. At the onset of BS IV emission norms in India and provident on the ensuing BS VI emission norms from April 2020, we are confident that our selection of emission control technologies across the Commercial Vehicle range is holistic and the most ideal one, given that it takes into consideration critical aspects such as performance, reliability, commercial affordability, environmental sustainability and future readiness.”
Apart from being the market leader in CVs in India, Tata Motors has been exporting many of its products to countries like Russia, Australia, Europe and Latin America where the emission regulations have been ahead of India and many of Tata Motors’ products have been meeting Euro IV and Euro V regulations.
About SCR and EGR
Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) is a process that simply adds a Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) into the exhaust gas stream and filters it through a catalyst. The DEF vaporizes and decomposes to form ammonia (NH3), which in conjunction with the SCR catalyst reacts with NOx (Nitrogen oxides) to convert the pollutant into nitrogen (N2) and water (H2O) which are released into the air. SCR technology uses less fuel since the engine is tuned to cut NOx and can instead be set up for performance and economy. In addition, fewer active “regenerations” of diesel particulate filters are needed to burn off soot, which in turn uses less fuel.
SCR is a globally proven technology which almost every diesel engine manufacturer has adopted. All the major commercial vehicle OEMs across the world have chosen SCR to comply with new and upcoming emission standards.

इसके मैकेनिक एजेंसी पर है ही नहीं वह तुम्हारे गाड़ी से ही सीखते हैं लगातार 15 20 दिन तक उसके बाद 50 60 हजार का सामान बता देंगे कि यह खराब हो गया है बस बात खत्म

Govt cannot ban cigarette which people directly intake harmful gases But vehicles are fitted with lakhs of rupees silencer. Govt should also look in the matter that the owners get good freight amount Truck owners are equal to doing nothing after working so hard taking so much risk Delivering products 100 kms truck owners get fare which is equal to 2× oil expense. But there are so many other expenses. Driver, Repairing, Documents, Insurance, etc

What is the difference between BS 4 and BS6 engine block , like is there is block length more, bore diameter, injection temp, combustion temperature etc... Next... after exhaust gas in ATS arrangements what new is added in BS6. Next.. Can we use BS6 diesel in BS4 vehicle

सर जी नमस्कार सर मेरे पास एक गाड़ी है bs 6 Tata Signa 2923k जिसमे न्यू इंजन डाला गया है कुछ फॉल्ट के कारण जब से न्यू इंजन पड़ा है तब से एकजोस्ट नही लग रहा है डाउन में गाड़ी कंट्रोल नही हो रही है ब्रेक का इस्तेमाल बहुत करना पड़ रहा है जिसके कारण व्हील्स काफी गरम हो रहे है कंपनी भी चले गया सविस सेंटर जो हमारा है लेकिन उनका बोलना ये है की हमारा लेफ्टॉल कोई फॉल्ट कोट नही बता रहा है और एक्जॉस्ट काम कर रहा ऐसा कंपनी वालो का बोलना है मेने गाड़ी 1 लाख km चला ली और पहले ये शिकायत कभी नहीं आई काफी अच्छा एक्जॉस्ट था ये Signa gadi का गाड़ी में कोई चीज की कमी नहीं थी किसी भी चीज को लेकर 99%ok गाड़ी थी सर plz हेल्प 🙏🙏

प्रदूषण बचाने का और मालिक को पैसा न कमा देने का तरीका। एक साल के अंदर दो बार सेंसर का काम निकला भाईयो । और एक बार छोटे 407 टेंपो की यूरिया टैंक बदली करना पड़ा उसका खर्चा 55 हजार रु आया। गाड़ी को सिर्फ दस महीने हुए है और गाड़ी 14 हजार चली है।

महिंद्रा जीतो bs6 1 साल में तीन बार एजेंसी पर खड़ा करना पड़ा 35000 बनवाई भी देना एक बार खड़ी करने पर 20 दिन लगते हैं कहते हैं समान है नहीं लगातार यूरिया की समस्या आता हमारे पास कितना पैसा हो जाए कि हम यूरिया की समस्या दूर करते हुए भूमि गाड़ी का किस्त दे घर का खर्चा चलाएं ऊपर से बताते हैं सिविल खराब हो जायेगा

बहुत मंहगे है पार्ट इसके सेंसर एक 25 हजार का है जरा जरा से फिल्टर 3 से 5 हजार तक के है और बार बार फॉल्ट आता

Bhai exdam kharab gaadi hai,, every time regeneration karna padta hai ,, low pickup hai ,,, December ,3 2021 se parasan hu, service center se thik hoke aati hai 300 ,400 km chalti hai phir woo hi problem,, service center walle advice dete hai yhe gaadi short distance ke liye nahi,, it's should be take minimum 200 km in single journey ,, if you want check vechile history AS01MC6089

Sab bakwas hai bs6 gadi Tata Ace gold silencer ek lakh rupaye ka Bata rahe hain na hi tuta hai na hi futa hai sut mas value kabhi Kam jyada ho raha hai iske liye gadi ka pura silencer change kar rahe hain service center wale ₹100000 mang rahe hain
