Great look and remarkable creativity. As an alternative, one can also use radium tape on properly sanded surface with heat treatment to spread it in shape. I fear that this will wash off during regular spray wash as the paints available in spray bottles are of very inferior quality and are thin.

Excellent work, very good to know. I also have done a similar thing on my wheel covers. After seeing ur work, i feel to redo my wheel cover to give alloy look. This masking method is used by all major car manufacturers at their factories, seen it myself. Once again grt innovative job👍

Should be at least 1-2 years easy if maintained properly, I changed to alloys after 6 months, and paint was as it is after 6
