That's where you see that Terrain Response comes in handy, people complain about price of harrier but they don't know that TRS doesn't come cheap, it actually work and any 2wd car cannot do like safari and harrier did...so all those useless features in hector and seltos won't help in this case...

Superb video. This is what showing a capability of a car. It can't do what a "Thar" can do. But it can do most obstacles in the worst of the road conditions. No vehicle even a rear drive can clear an off-road situation cleared with some effort using a 4x4. But those mostly will be in an adventure drive. If the way near your home demands 4x4, you should look for a proper 4x4, at least an AWD like duster. But this video surely gives confidence to Safari/Harrier owners and also reminds them that you vehicle is not a proper off-roader.

Just an additional kit of Front diff lock alone wud have not increased cost and also wud hav given credit to the safari tag and differentiate it with the harrier.... But still it has one of the best 2wd TCS developed in coordination with Land rover....

i had been for test drive of automatic ..gear shift is smooth and pick is awesome ...only fear is quality of electronics after 50000km ...also car doesnt come with all terrain tyre but still car managed to cross obstacles in your test ...

It was the first time we took the car for all those places , we did the test without any momentum because we was worried that bumper or any components would touch the ground if we came in a momentum , so had to take it slow !

In such controlled environment Hyundai creta will perform such activities but real life off roading is much different. I can challenge this Safari will not be able to go even 100 metres in some off roading tracks where we drive real SUVs. It is land rover based not land rover even land rover provides 4x4. It is just urban pseudo suv like harrier creta.

Safari in not an off roader. It's just a lifestyle MUV not an SUV like most "SUVs" in India. Clearly no traction, lots of wheel spin and wheels leaving the ground in small trenches. A proper SUV keeps its wheels on the ground as much as possible and never spins up its wheels.

I don't mean any offense, but honestly speaking, this is something which one can do in a Nexon, XUV300 or even Brezza for that matter. U wanna check what REAL off-roading looks like, then check out a channel on KZbin called as Northern Overlanders, and tell me if this "joke of an SUV" can handle obstacles like those. Really disappointed with the fact that there not even an option given for a 4wd. My friend wanted to buy this, but when he realised that there was no 4wd option, he just said screw it and bought an Innova Crysta instead.

Yes even I’m disappointed in the fact there is no 4WD on offer , All they have done is just stretch up Harrier, But Tata has said that based on customer demand they will launch 4WD, Rumours are spreading that they will launch in September , Innova CRYSTA is a better option considering safari , A big engine , with crazy amount of Road presence !
