saying as a toyota fortuner 2019 (4x4) owner, i would definitely like to point out somethings: no doubt the steering is heavy and taking u - turns is a pain, but when you have the light steering it does not seems like you are driving a 'fortuner' the car has always been spacious but the seats are a little too firm as when compared to other cars in the segment fortuner also lacks some features as we all know. But i have no such complaints with the fortuner, it has done 64000 Km and a fantastic car i must say. no complaints with the fit finish of the car. and another fantastic review. Keep it up!

The concept and the way you guys represented the content was phenomenal. No doubt the new facelift Tata Safari is an excellent master piece, but the only lacuna is that the service is very poor aswell as unskilled mechanic at the dealer end. Tata need to take some important measures at its service end. In view of Toyota, they were the no1 in service and thats the only reason why Fortuner is at high peak, otherwise no doubt the all new Safari is far far better than Fortuner in terms of technology, design, handling, quality and most Importantly the interior space management. Hatsoff to TATA.

I’m wondering if the Safari will be suitable for these conditions or if I should opt for the XUV700 with all-wheel drive or the Scorpio N with 4x4. I think, many times decision to buy a SUV (or rather a dream car) is beyond features... Even though Safari isn't 4*4 / AWD, and misses on many features like boot space or petrol, it has always been my dream car. Fortuner has never occupied that spot in my heart. It has its own charm, and thousands of folks would love it, but its not for me... Never felt that connection. So, it was very emotional moment when I took delivery of Safari Facelift last week... It was worth the wait of so many years. Not commenting to give my verdict which one is better in general, but I know which one is better for me... I wish everyone who's reading this comment, gets to buy his / her dream car, be it Safari or Fortuner or any other car... All the best

Fortuner is not developed for Indian market and its very old model but Safari is developed from India for the Indian market.👍. Hence price and spec, mileage etc are good in Safari.

Jitni bhi other cars me ye engine use hota hai jaise jeep compass, jeep meridian, MG hector etc, ye sabhi cars below average hai engine reliability me. Toh ye engine kaha compare kar paoge toyota ke fortuner waale engine se jo hilux aur prado me bhi use hota. Aur sabhi ko pata hai ki hilux aur prado kitni zyada jaani jaati hai engine reliability ke liye. Similarly mahindra ka 2.2 litre mHawk engine australian farmers ne test kiye hai itne saalo se...toh uske scorpio waale diesel engines bhi bohot reliable hote hai. Tata ka khud ka jo engine tha purani waali safari me wo bohot reliable tha but jo inhone fiat se source kiya hai ye itna acha nahi hai comparatively.

To all those people reading my comment I m not targeting fortuner, i m not giving hate towards fortuner, its just my genuine opinion. What i actually feel like is that when u pay 50 lacs for a fortuner u r just paying for its brand value. People say fortuner is reliable and all , see i have seen many cars of mahindra tata maruti being driven more than 2 lacs kilometer, they also have relaibility in engine, ofcourse safety is different in all the brands and TATA and mahindra are nailing on safety. I also love fortuner, it looks stunning. But just ask yourself, Is it really worth 50 lacs apart from brand value, i know there is no other car in the market who has a brand value like fortuner. i dont feel its worth the price Guys its just my opinion, I m not spreading hate towards any car or brand.
