If your daily estimate is less than 50% of claimed , there is some serious reporting issues with claimed mileage. Anyways this is a good option for in city drive, still for intercity drives would have been better tht avg. real life mileage js atleast 200-220, even 160 km as desired as acceptable will not cut it at the selling price. Maybe with software updates the real life range can be improved. I must say I had great excitement but now feel quite disappointed with the delta in claimed and real km range. 🙏for your efforts in the review, really helps.

For ev to be economically beneficial over diesel/petrol, you need to drive a lot of kilometres on daily/monthly basis . Eg. You are paying Approx 3.5 lakhs extra over ice version. Per km saving in ev over ice in city conditions should be around 6 Rs. It means you need to drive around 60k kilometres to break even. Assuming one drives 1500 kms a month on an average, break even will be achieved after around 3.5 years. Assuming car will need battery replacement after 10 years, owner should be saving around 7 lakhs over a period of balance 6.5 years. More than 50 pc of these savings will then be invested again in replacement of battery. All these calculation are done assuming current conditions, rates and without considering interest component in prices. One more thing to note is maintenance cost. While everyone says that maintenance is on the lower side, 2 of my friends have encountered issues with motor of ev in Nexon ev and the bill turned out to be more than 2 lakhs! Thank god the car was covered in warranty. Therefore, if we drive around 2.5k to 3k kilometres , a lot of savings can be earned in warranty period of car (not battery). This will help have a sense of satisfaction of choosing ev over ice. However, to drive 3k in a month you need to drive at least 100 kms a day. With 200 km real world range, you are forced to charge every day and planning of trips will be difficult task. Therefore, it's not yet a clear winner even with bigger battery pack option.

Battery की Warranty होती है 8 साल, जबकि चलती है 12-15 साल, उसके बाद बिकती है मेंहगी, क्योंकि battery use होगी, inverter, heater, rickshaw, computer...

@@AskCarGuru my friend has a brezza diesel that ran around 2.5 lakhs and approximately 8 lakh he spent on fuel and the cost for car is 13 lakh so total he spent around 21 lakh plus 1 maintenance so in all 22 but nexon ev max cost around 20 upfront and driving 2.5 lakh a .95 would cost 2.25 so in all costing comes same. And that too when resale of ev is still not clear but brezza can definitely sell at 3 lakh bringing cost around 19. So in all ev still is costlier option.
