I would be able to buy a spare tyre and rim and just place it vertically in the hatch. But my biggest reason to buy a Tiago EV in addition to a Nexon EV along with many other people would be its width. Let me explain - most garages and drives in older houses and parking lots were designed around the width of an Ambassador car (1662mm), while our Nexon (at 1811mm) squeezes in but the difference can be felt and seen. The Tiago at 1677mm is a brilliant fit. Likewise on the narrower roads of our village in the Konkan (where the nearest decent petrol pump is about 12 kms away). My preferred variant? XT(LR).

If it is 8-10% less weight then that means we get 8-10% more range. Now as battery is 8% less than tigor so it is cut out the range increase. So we can say we get Tigor range of 220-250 km. Now Tiago high torque is 114 kn and not Tigor 170 kn so I belive power consumption is less, and Tata doing right thing to limit the power for small car. Also cruise control and regen improve efficiency. So hope range will increase and we basically can get 240-270 km easily. #TataDeshKiShaan

Maybe Tata Motors should allow a mobile phone + app be used as a method to update software, instead of going to the dealer. Car update should begin only after the software is fully downloaded to the car and verified, so it does not brick cars.

The other option I would like to try out when I get my Tiago EV is the wheel/rim/tyre size from the Tiago NRG. 175 / 60 / R15" in the front wheels and retain the existing 175 / 65 / R14" in the rear. Hopefully that will not impact the warranty. And steel wheels are brilliant!

Hi Sir, Next time when you meet any officials or some one from Tata, Could you please ask them if they have tried using smaller motors + gears just like Northway Motors? I know it adds complexity with respect to regen and more losses but still I feel that there would be increase in range or we would get consistent range irrespective of Highway or City speeds. 5 Gears are definitely an overkill, but 3 gears + reverse or even 2 gears + reverse might go a long way in helping the range. And otherwise brilliant videos as always. Pranam 🙏

@@pluginIndia thank u. If Tata could just announce the gradeability of this car then the matter would have been settled. If you could just somehow highlight this issue thro social media or directly to TATA, it will be great.I have never been to the Ghats, that you mentioned. I live in Meghalaya [ 4500 - 6100 feet above sea level] which has a similar terrain like Himachal and Uttarkhand and almost all the 7 states of North east India are very hilly in nature , if a vehicle has a gradeability of about 18% and above, then it will do the job here. If also ,one goes by the calculation that the tiago petrol version also produces about 114 nm of torque, then still it will be enough for us because there are a good number of tiago plying here. But it is right or is it the correct way to extrapolate or compare the pulling power of an ice engine to an EV taking torque alone. We need to ask the experts
