Own Ignis feb 2018 model, completed 45k + km (80% highway) Positives :- 1.2l 4 cylinder engine, decent power 17+ kmpl with ac, 180 mm ground clearance, big 15 inch wheels, high seating position. Front 2 seats are wide and big. Perfect for heavy traffic. Negatives :- Suspension is very stiff and uncomfortable, steering has no feedback, weak built quality, rear seats are is only for 2 small person with no comfort. AC vents are badly placed no cooling for rear seats.

I just booked tiago xt for its built quality, comfort, stability. I know who has a tiago for 4 years. He says there is no issue in engine except the vibration. But the newer model resolve it. Since my budget is tight around 5.8 Lakh, I cannot go for ignis delta , which is around 6.2 Lakh

Tiago vs ignis, that's a question that needs to be answered. Tiago has 4 star NCAP, Cornering stability, Ignis has 3 star NCAP and no cornering stability. In terms of looks, Tiago is better looking, my opinion. Ignis is quirky. Feature wise, even though Tiago XTA and Ignis Zeta AMT are almost at the same price (diff of 20-30k maybe) But Ignis gives touchscreen with android auto, fog lamp, push button, electronically folding orvm, rear defogger, rear wiper, alloy wheels, Adj Rear headset, 60:40 split, functional roof rails. You can upgrade to XZA in tiago by paying 40k+ but still will miss on some features from Ignis. Tiago wins in looks, safety, cornering, suspension, but in features, Ignis is a clear winner including better engine and Maruti service. And at the same time with 3 star ratings ignis is not that behind in terms of safety if you can be reasonable in cornering so it could be a good choice for city driving with occasional highway use. Personally there is no price high enough for the safety of your family. So Tiago i guess is the winner.

Recently I booked Ignis sigma. With all discount it costs me 5.75 on road. Which highly value for money. Almost 40k less than tiago base model. It comes with super refined engine. Reliability of maruti. Good ground clearance. I took punch test drive. Engine was not as responsive as ignis. The test drive vehicle had some issue with seat belt warning alarm. Its seat height adjuster was not working. And all these things with new car as that test drive vehicle was harldy 9k km driven. I already own ertiga. And we have maruti cars at home since my childhood, around 25 years. The kind of reliability maruti offers you is unbeatable.

I am a proud ignis owner too. Yes tiago is better in safety , but if we drive a car like its our dads road no car can save you as there is only a 1 star ahead. Inalso agree accidents are not always our fault. Tata is only ahead in safety concerns. Service is utter pathetic

Many people are confused in these two cars which one is better choice. Almost came in same price segment. Maruti has 4 cylinder engine while tata has 3 cylinder, Now reverse in terms of Build quality acc NCAP 4 star tata, 3star ignis. IGNIS has more function has better ground clearence & somehow more service stations and better customer care service but it's very city to city. Now these days price has already hike 4 times in a year. So if we compare both in terms of all aspect than in my opinion IGNIS is better choice.

I brought new ignish car 2021,I compared so many of think's about i10,Tiago,Ignish, swift.- finally I brought ignish base (sigma) model 5.38L onroad aditionally I paid 26000 to but accessories worth 38000 11 item's like wise central lock,back camera ,audio Systems floor mate, side crome...ect..it's Valve for money, pros 1 - Very low price compared to tiago 2 - Excellent interior design and space much better than Tiago 3 - Low Engine Noise 4 cylinder 4. Front both sheet are excellent 5. Comfort Boot space Finally I'm saying Which features are very essential to need that's having in ignish, example no need additional features to control audio system in steering, height adjustment but Ignish allow to front and back adjustment... Cons 1. Very poor suspension very hard 2. Rear side design it's not look like 3. Millage 20 kmpl in highways 17 for cities but Tiago and swift given more 4.Saftey it's consist 3 star rating only

Also consider the service network in your city before opting any car or else, Figo could have been much better. Rest, I own an Ignis never faced stability issue even at speeds of 120-130 kmph. The drive is comfortable and engine has enough power for its range.

As a owner, I felt it was a best choice buying brand new Hyundai i10 grand nios petrol because it has more leg room at the rear passenger seat, good looking interior, it as more features than the other cars in this segment, engine is quiet refined and smooth. It has exciting features like wireless charging first in the segment, rear AC vents and many more. It is also the best city car and stable i n highways. I am getting average in cities between 13-14kmpl and in highways you can get easily about 20kmpl.

If roads are good then Ignis is very good, powerful engine and good ground clearance. But the suspension is very stiff and if roads are bad you'll feel the impacts everytime. Please test ride both cars in your village area

I own Ignis, it's a really good car for the budget. The ground clearance is really helpful on Indian roads especially considering its a small car. It's not very stable at high speeds and steering is too light which undermines safety at high speeds, overall good car with Maruti's reliability and engine is fun to drive, it has same engine as swift.

Ignis suspension becomes smooth after 3rd service. You will love its Suspension after 3rd service but before 3rd service you will curse it's suspension a little bit. Ignis becomes enjoyable after 3rd service. Pros - Base model most worth of cost vehicle among all the vehicles in the segment it may vary between 5.6 to 5.8 L on road in urban cities. For such low price you get 4 cylinder smooth Baleno engine and smooth soundless tried and tested engine. Does the job for both and city and highways pretty well. Cons - Build quality looks good but seems materials used won't make u feel strong about it and there is lack of premium feel in base segment unlike the vehicles in the segment like Neos, Tiago, I10 but it's because of the slight lower price they give. But overall it's a great package when u r looking for basic cars like spresso, alto and waganor but you end up taking Baleno engine at the cost of basic vehicle. Taxes I paid to this vehicle is much higher than if I had to pay for Tiago, and the difference is big on tax. Which if you will compare u will know. But total price will be almost same as Tiago base model. Milage in higher traffic city's like Bangalore is not going beyond 14.5 or 15.3 kms for me. I am not sure about others who claim they get 18 to 20 Kms. Note I am not a pro driver so one may get a slightly better mileage in case of pro driver's. Incase if u have a second choice or choice to increase the budget u can go for Altroz base or Baleno Base model. Which is of much better value for money cars.

After test driving both cars I have decided to go with Ignis Automatic version. Tiago AGS shifting is slow, engine is not refined and feels under powered. And also Tiago design felt like smaller indica car. Ignis engine was sooth and seating position felt like small SUV with very good ground clearance. Only down size is that sheet metal of the car. But it scored 3 star which is better than other maruti cars.

Tiago's 4.5 yrs exp :- cons are , engine noise, vibrations, fit and finish and average service quality. Pros Good Handling, suspension is good , stability is good , engine performance is good i drive it in the hills and highways ,no problems with 5 ppl and fully loaded boot, Awesome Harman Sound System!!
