Chief Francis Garcia Cooke was my great grandmother. My grandfather Delores Cy Cooke was one of Chief Francis sons. My mom was Patricia Joyce Cooke Padilla daughter of Cy Cooke. My Mom's oldest brother was Chief Charlie Eye of the Eagle Cooke. My Uncle Alvin Cooke was the second oldest of my Mom's two older brothers. I am Laura Constance Padilla, the youngest daughter of Patti Cooke Padilla. My oldest brother's name is Victor Douglas Padilla Jr. My sister Stacy LaRee Padilla is Patti Cooke second oldest child. My brother William Alan Padilla is Patti Cooke third child. And, I'm Laura Padilla, the youngest of four of Patti Cooke Padilla's childern. I am very proud to be a relative and a descendant of our Indigenous Native American ancestral heritage of North America, of Indigenous Peoples of California.

So, how did it go? Was this program a success? Is it still going on? What have these kids gone on to do? Where are they now? What affect did this program have on their lives? Are there other programs like this anywhere else?
