That would be amazing but I think she doesn’t want it. Like if she hasn’t done it by now, I don’t think she wants to yet. I think it’s related to her asthma. You noticed how she kind of needs to pull the mic away from her mouth to breathe for a sec between lines if she is doing a dancing number?? Like if she had a full headset, it would be more awkward because she couldn’t do a dramatic pull away-integrate it into the performance-dance move- to take a sec to breathe. It would just be her breathing into the mic for a sec. But I have a feeling she is working her way up to that point! She’s gotten so much more stamina and ability to sing great while constantly moving. I think that is honestly the end goal. Maybe she will start doing that on tour!!

If this isn’t the definition of evolution, I genuinely do not know what is! People can nitpick her sound, the dancing being prioritized over the actual singing, call her an industry plant, etc. Tate is listening and she is clearly combating the criticisms. This was one of the first performances of these two songs in particular where she kept the mic up and she SANG the whole way through. I don’t know why people have such a gripe with her dropping the mic to dance - I for one enjoy how choreographed her performances usually are because anyone can stand there or horse trot the stage and sing. There are some talented vocalists out there, I won’t deny that - but in today’s music climate most are a dime a dozen and if they do sing their full song, it’s not nearly as clean as the actual record and it’s safely done to sound as close to that record as possible. Tate gives vocals, variations on the sound of the song itself, and presentation. Hot take or not, of any of the newbies, she is the one to watch for me and I see her as having the most potential to become a future icon 🤷🏻‍♂️
