There is competition in every sphere, even for that 1 seat. He is here talking about the mindset. Giving your 100% effort with discipline. But the fact is some will succeed some will not get there. Its the aspirants who were not able to get that seat, will see how tough the competition is. That doesn't mean that they didn't give their 100%. kindly note, in Armed Forces barring UPSC NDA/ NA, UPSC CDS and AFCAT exam, candidates attend SSB directly . Moreover, in Armed Forces many candidates get recommended whose parents have served as officers in the Armed Forces, be it in Army, Navy or Air Force. Moreover, qualifying written examination of UPSC CDS or AFCAT is way more easier than qualifying Central SSC MTS exam. Ask your student to take SSC MTS exam, forget SSC CGL, I am sure, it would be a daunting task for them to crack SSC MTS exam. My name is Souvik Roy and I am from Non Technical background. I took UPSC CDS II exam 2013(for OTA screened out from SSB bangalore), CDS I 2014( for IMA screened out from ssb allahabad), CDS II 2014(for OTA screened out from SSB Allahabad), CDS I 2016(for OTA screened out from SSB allahabad), AFCAT II 2015(did not attend AFSB Mysore), AFCAT I 2016(conference out from AFSB Varanasi For Admin/logistics ) and AFCAT II 2016(screened out from AFSB Varanasi for Admin/ logistics). Later went on to join AFHQ as an ASO(qualified through SSC CGL). My posting was at Dte. of Naval Trng(DNT). I have seen candidates getting recommended in Navy on one phone call to SSB by my Reporting Officer. DOP & DNT are in Sena bhawan. Now, if anyone having any doubts, feel free to make RTIs at the said SSBs to affirm whether I actually attended those SSBs or not, or rather make an RTI at DNT to confirm if I was ever posted there at that section in Sena Bhawan. My point is UPSC CSE is way more tougher than AFCAT/ CDS for that matter. So, josh me yeh keh dena ki UPSC CSE me koi competition nahi hai. seat toh ek hi chahiye, baki jitna rahe usse matlab nahi, yeh sunne me acchha lagta hai, par practical nahi hai. aur haan, ek cheez aur, aaj bhi agar mujhe CDS/ AFCAT dene ko baitha diya jaaye na, toh bhi abhi k abhi written qualify krne ki himmat rakhta hoon woh bhi bina koi preparation k, par wohi UPSC CSE ki baat kari jaaye toh crack krna mere liye hi bhari par jayega..

Total 10 logo ka naam bata do, maan jaaongaa. abhi tak mere nazar me sirf ek do hi bande dikhe aise. ek banda tha jo IAF join kara tha AFCAT k through, par woh UPSC ka hi taiyaari kar raha tha. uska clear hua tha... baki 9 ka aap bataao

​@@souvik3618 I agree that NDA CDS Afcat written exam are easy as compared to Jee NEET CSE and other examination but you have went to SSB and just like civil aspirants face to clear mains and prelims in the same way for defence aspirant SSB AFSB or NSB is difficult task for them. Second thing in the armed forces if you see the records 85% officers are from civilian background 15% are those whose parents are NCO, JCO or officers(including ex servicemen) NDA selection rate is 0.5 % even less than JEE which is 0.71%

One thing i want to mention here that...... 10-12 lakhs forms fill-up hote hai aaj ki date me. jsme se 5 - 8/7 lakh appear hote hai. Yh social media pe aake bdi bdi baate krna kuchh bhi hawa me bol dena bht easy hai. So i would request to all the dedicated student jo prepare kr rhe hai ya krne wale hai. आराम से बैठ कर हवा मे तीर मारना सबको आता है sir और मै देख रही हूँ यहाँ बहोत से बच्चे सहमत भी है आपके बात से पर मै जरा भी agree नही करती इतनी आसानी से बोल दिये compition नहीं है,, पर उन बच्चों से पूछिए जिनकी एक marks से पूरा साल बर्बाद हो जाता है,,,, और चलिए मानते है compition कम है पर जो हर साल upsc मे कुछ Selected लोग भी बैठ रहे अथाह ज्ञान और तजुर्बा लेकर , what about them ? बाते करना जितना आसान है ,, ASPIRANT कि जगह रह कर सोचना उतना ही मुश्किल 🙂🙂👍👍
