I worked for Chanel up until recently… they changed the formula of the bronzer in the summer of last year in anticipation of the new colour coming out this year. The base of the product was changed to a hydrogenated coconut oil, the idea being the glide would be a bit better over other complexion products and if it were to be worn on its own that it would be more comfortable. Missed the mark for me also

I have been LOVING the more stripped down yet still high class, more laid back yet still dialed in, more down to earth yet still a Queen that slays, more vulnerable yet still tough as nails Tati that has been evident since her return this past June. As a woman in her early 40s I certainly can appreciate the journey Tati has been on these past couple of years & continues to be on presently. I appreciate her insights, her truths that she shares even when they’re not positive, her relatability & her rolls with the punches attitude. The Chanel Soleil did completely change, the tone is definitely more rosy compared to the original formula which was “beige” with a beautiful olive tan undertone. The formula feels a tad bit dryer and needs to be warmed but a bit on the back of the hand to have a similar consistency to the original. But this is my observation now working at a Chanel beauty counter.

I found this video incredibly helpful. I also don’t think of it as negative … it is legitimately constructive: you expressed detailed reasons you felt each product was not worth the money it cost (or worth using at all). It would be different if you were against the idea of EVER purchasing a high-end item, but you’re not; you’re on record as enjoying luxury items as well - especially when there is something special about them. I truly appreciate this honesty … and the products that have earned positive reviews from you MORE than balance the scales. Thank you! 😊👏🏼❤️

Why do we buy things that we don’t need? Because brands advertise how it’s new and innovative and people want to be trendy and in know. Because of this we live in a materialistic and capitalistic society where we are all going down the same path of mass consumerism. Even those of us who know how companies advertise and how they think, we too are sucked into the void of continuous spending. We can’t avoid it. All we can do is consume and tell others our opinions on said product. Which is why I adore watching your channel. You help others realize that just because it’s got fancy packaging does not mean it will be a good product. So thank you for your support in slowing down consumerism by telling others the truth. You are just now discovering that the market sets prices partially based on what people are willing to pay? Makeup is a luxury not a necessity. Yes, they changed the formula on the Chanel bronzer. It's got a lot of coconut oil or somesuch in it now, so it's like a tinted cleansing balm . :)

I’ve NEVER WOREN MAKEUP, but I do love skincare. But your channel is the ONLY makeup channel I watch. I’m 36 and I’ve never been good at picking it out or choosing. But I love you and your channel. I actually know ALOT about makeup bc of you. 😁

SO glad you are back! I seriously missed you. I cut back so much on You Tube while you were gone! It just wasn’t the same. And I love you are in Seattle. I lived there and am now relocated down south and…I miss my home. You are a refreshing delight. Thank you for keeping it real and always being a “lady” and having class in a world that seems addicted to drama and other people’s heartache.

It's so good to hear the honesty about these over hyped brands. I DO agree Scott Barnes face palettes and eye shadow palettes are a splurge but, they are so GOOD!!!

Depotting videos are really satisfying. It would be fun to see you make your own palette. I like doing that with my palettes.

have u tried the em cosmetics bronzer? it’s a cream and blends like an absolute dream! it’s more of a sun kissed less of a contour look, which i feel like can be hard with a cream bronzer/contour

I depotted all my eyeshadow during the first wave of quarantine and I'm looooving it. It's so nice to have all the family colour together and being able to take just a few if I need them
