Tatiana Maslany is an award winning actress who has appeared in movies such as The Vow, Picture Day and Eastern Promises. She has also appeared on TV shows such as Flashpoint, Cracked, Alphas and Heartland.
Jordan Gavaris has appeared in numerous productions, including 2010's Unnatural History, Degrassi The Next Generation and was named one of Playback Magazine's Top Ten to Watch for 2010.

I am english and could tell that Sarah's english accent was just acting but oh my god i was not expecting Felix to not actually be english!!!! XD

pikapanda64 Yeah Tatiana's fake english accent is pretty bad TBH, I laughed a lot because she sounded australian most of the time LMAO. But Jordan always sounded LEGIT english. I mean seriously! When I found out he was not English I was like WHAT.

liveyourdreams111 yeah at first i couldnt really tell where she was from, i thought Australia too. But then from Felix's accent i figured she was English. But to be fair her accent has gotten so much better- it could just be that I'm used to it

+liveyourdreams111 Well you have to remember that she is playing a character that was born in the UK, raised by an Irish woman, and lived most of her life in Canada, so her accent is influenced by all these things. It's like a weird mix. I think she tries to take that into account.

The first time I heard it, it was in a short clip. He was saying, "It's Delphine. She's got baggage." That's as fake as he ever sounds, but unfortunately, it did sound a little fake to me, so I knew from the start.

Lol of course they can. Many do. Uma Thurman, Drew Barrymore, Daryl Hannah, Winona Ryder, Brad Pitt...part of acting. You gotta be able to switch up to anything and play any role.

Tasha Dillard never heard any of them do an English accent, but i'll take your word for it as I don't watch a lot of films. tbh I've heard a lot of terrible accents but never many good ones from non-brits from English speaking countries

Mmm yeah it's hard to pull off. I can usually tell when an American is trying to pull of an English accent. Only few can do it convincingly. A lot of people from other countries can pull off American accents pretty good though , ironically lol

I really, really liked their answer on the question about cultural background of the characters. As an immigrant who used to live in the States, and who now lives in the UK, I really wish people who are native to a given country would have the same understanding of "outsiders" as Tatiana and Jordan have, because what they are saying is spot on!

Evelyne Brochu's first language is French, but she is perfectly bilingual to the point of not having an accent when she speaks English. This is an interesting situation in that her English is so good, that she has to deliberately put on a French accent for her character. Read her bio.

Their advice at the end was so great! It can be applied to anything really! I am an undergrad with dreams of getting a PhD and every once in a while I fall out of love with my subject just bc it's hard and complex and academia is a lot of pressure. But it's okay!
