Tatiana Nikolayeva was a person to be admired. To acknowledge her as a fantastic Pianist does not pay her full justice. What impressed me most was a sentence I once read: "As Goldenveiser, Nikolaeva was not just a teacher, she was a teacher in the broadest sense. She formed in her students certain attitude not only to art but to life in general, educating them by personal example. " A fantastic woman!

To suddenly experience a work like you had never heard it, to discover all these sounds, all these layers, to feel that tone pierce your ears as if you've been caressed by the glow of a distant, beautiful star- my reaction to this was tears. I thought the second movement sometimes lacked the ecstatic nervousness of "prestissimo volando", that "flight at the speed of light, straight towards the sun, into the sun", in Scriabin's words. As in her Bach, I feel that Nikolayeva sometimes sacrifices forward movement for expressiveness of detail, for beauty of tone- there is certain reluctance to let go, a desire to "listen" more. But this recording was a revelation in many ways. Thank you so much.

I thought Christmas would not be back for another year, what a treat. Thanks ADGO. What a golden tone jumps in my ears here, a kind of a 'healthy' sounding Scriabin - TN chose a very personal approach, far from these hyper ventilating, as much colour changing as possible versions, which only a very few can perform convincing. A gem. Very personal for very personal music.

Clean. Carefully and thoughtfully played. Many others play this sloppily in comparison.

A beautifully played 1st mvt, albeit with some skipped basses, but 2nd mvt is unrythmic and sounds static rather than ecstatic; no flying towards the sun at the speed of light here! Strangely, the climax is not that bad....
