The manga ended differently, he lived in the manga. Him and Mine have a child together granted it’s implied she got pregnant before the final war as they likely fucked during the scene where they kissed. Cause he’s currently permanently disfigured cause he forced Incursio to evolve so many times at such a rapid rate that he essentially fused with his Teigu and is now in the form of a dragon.

He lived in the manga and even has a child with Mine. It’s implied she got pregnant during the scene they kissed as it’s also implied they fucked in that scene. But he’s alive and permanently disfigured and in the form of a dragon as he essentially fuses with Incursio from forcing it to rapidly evolve.
