What’s going on artists! Thought I’d share with you a current update on what’s going on! Really enjoying life at the moment! Best I’ve ever felt! Sometimes you have to strip back Clutter from your life in order to reach the next step! The next level in your journey! Something Ive noticed in the past few months, although my work had seen improvements I really felt stuck in a rut with my personal environment. I became a product of my environment. And not a good one. And I knew something needed to change! I made a few changes! And more will follow for sure! Make sure you have the best support around you! Only positive vibes! Make sure you give it 110% be the best version of yourself!

This is a BIG TRUTH !!!! With being self taught, did you find any complications when trying to get a licence for your first studio? I'm nearing a point in my self taught journey where I'm thinking about a shop/possibly renting a small studio flat or something- I'm just worried about investing money in to studio equipment then not being given a licence. Thank you for being so candid when talking about being an artist, really keeps me motivated!

Just want to let you know it's not just Tattooist watching this type of content! I love tattoos but I doubt I'll ever do them myself. But watching your stuff really gives me a next level appreciation for the art. Your inspiration and devotion to teach and help people learn is admiring. Everything you say is your truth and comes from the heart, it not only applies to the tattoo world but everything else as well I think. You've dealt with a lot from others and yet you're still here trying to help. That's love right there. I feel like there's not a lot of people out there that rock it like you do. At the age of 14 I had a bike accident and I lost my left arm , but that never stop me from following my dream , I’m just getting into tattooing , I ordered a kit and I also ordered a mast archer , will practice and do my best to get there , I admire u bro , bless

Been watching your videos for a while now and never commented, I love how honest and helpful you are mate, I've learned so much from watching your channel. I'm 29 and done the exact same thing as you through school art as a GCSE then graphic design in further education, I've always had an interest in art and design, my life took a different path falling in love not long after school and having kids, now I'm putting every spare second into tattooing! you're an inspiration mate keep doing what you're doing! Shame to hear about your friend, his loss though.. pissing away a great opportunity, if you were local to me I'd be offering to mop your floors just to get some first hand experience

Hey brother!! I am from the US and I feel the same struggle I have had those same leaches and had to let them go and move forward as I have motivation to become larger but for me it is all about the honor to tattoo not the money! Yes the money is good but the respect and honor to tattoo someone feels so much better!! I watch you religiously!! Wish I had a way to contact you to learn more from you!! Like to ask though as I am newer to procreate as I am old school pencil and paper lol could you do some more in depth tutorials on procreate?? Thanks brother take care and KEEP YA HEAD UP!! Thanks for this Oliver: I've always been into art but always made a different job for living. In 2019 i lost my 16 years job and I thought that was the right time to do something I always loved to do, because my old job didn't let me time to start something different. Maybe this could sound like I want to do this for money, but it's not. I invest all my money and time in tattooing because it's what I always wanted to do, and I'm very sorry to hear that someone has stealed a chance that could be for someone else. Bless you

I just barely bought a kit form a friend(nothing special) n if I’m being completely honest, I just started mental therapy for depression, anxiety, etc. Tattooing and your videos have become an amazing escape and awesome outlet for information that is soooo helpful so with that I thank you Oliver for sharing your tips and tricks and all the advise you give! Also, this question is for anybody with an answer. What kind of kit would yall recommend for a decent price and quality for a new tattoo artist as myself?

I got into tattoos late at 34. Better late then never. It took a lot of time, courage and money to finally start tattooing. From time to time, I have gate keepers knocking me down. How can i get better if I stop tattooing? I possess critical thinking needed to appreciate tattooing. I obsess over it. Old timers shouldn’t be so hard on new comers.

Your ex apprentice will be kicking himself, I fucked up when I first started my tattoo career, got a great apprenticeship and didn’t give it 110%. Got told to do one, ended up having to teach myself etc, I’m now working in a very successful shop and my work is getting strong. Don’t give up guys if you’re motivated enough you can get it done

I have struggled big time in this industry .. and my struggles would be considered a massive success for most .. why? Many reasons, which would take way too long…. But I’m going to say a lot of it boiled down to “making a living instead of living my best self “ .. are we ever our best? No, probably not, but I strive in every part of my life.. yet the thing I was most “natural “or “gifted” at I started to cruise on. You’re so right. You can’t coast in this industry. You have to be devoted .. like you’re given a task by the universe. You must honor it. Appreciate it. And give more than you take with intention.

I got a funny story about letting someone else do the stencil , so I’m on my way to the shop my client calls me says he can’t make it I’m like 2 blocks way from the shop so when I get there my co worker tells me he accidentally double booked himself and will I take one of them on I say yeah the options was a rose and name the other was a blacked out Forrest silhouette I love roses I tried to talk them out the names but they was his kids names but I didn’t have to draw anything out he had it stenciled already just had to put it on him and tattoo it that’s exactly what we did let me remind you he looked at the design before hand and was staring at the stencil on his skin as I let it dry for about 10-20min when we get done he looks at it and comes back and says I love it but we got a problem and I say what’s that he says my one sons name is spelled wrong he wasn’t mad at me cuz he knew I wasn’t the original artist and didn’t draw it either but the way it was done and how small the name was we couldn’t cover it
